Well, the French do too. It’s a French word, and the e has an acute accent on it: coupé - so it is indeed pronounced “coopay”. It sounds odd coming from you Americans when you say "coop" - sounds like a place to keep chickens!

LoL, my dad was a limey. His parents went thru the Blitz in London. Always had a disdain for German technology. Cant imagine why. Good thing that they put the Spitfire into production. There was a time when they were dying for good old Detroit technology. How soon they forget. The TT looks a bit like a VW Beatle. Very unattractive IMHO.

Well, the Atom failed the criteria Top Gear has for testing cars - that is you must be able to drive it on UK roads. We have have speed humps on most urban roads, and the Atoms fron skirt is too low and grounded on these cursed humps. Otherwise the Atom was the fastest car (acereration) they ever tested. It would have been the fasted on their test track as well, had the Stig tried it.
The bigest hit on T.Gear I believe was the Buggatti Veryron, like we can all get one of those, can't we!!
They never rave about something we can actually own.

Clarkson has since got himself a lambo gallardo to replace the gt. And they love the ford mondeo which I believe is like a focus ? So we can all own one a those ha ha I haven't seen the episode with the cf in it yet but its on the dvr I plan on watching it tonight. I love my cf regardless of what anyone says!

A side note: one of the best shows on television.

They never said what their unanimous favorite car is, though they all like the Ford GT and numerous others, however they all unanimously agree that the VW Bug is their least favorite car ever.

For a less biased than Jeremy Clarkson review of the Crossfire there are these sites:
PS all are north American reviews with that bias.

My sister refers to the TT as an “executive Beetle”!
