Default New Interior Goodies/Solutions

Hey Guys (and Gals),

I know it's been a while since I've been able to post, but I wanted to post some pictures of my latest Crossfire additions. I had been looking for a good interior solution for the crossfire that would create somewhat of a "luxury" sports car (I personally feel it is a "sports car" ) without looking too far from stock. Tell me what you guys think.

Thanks again blacklimitedcoupe for the instrument pins and the door lock pins, and Cobra953 for the reccomendation on the dash kit.

Just some information for those who are interested:

The radio is the brand new JVC KD-AVX44. It's fully touchscreen and the controls blackout until you wave your hand in front of them. It has a built in DVD/CD player (with incredible resolution, suprisingly) XM/Sirius and HD radio capabilities, a direct USB/Ipod connection, and Bluetooth (which actually displays text messages, battery life, and cell strength in the window). You can also add a rear-view back-up camera for $99.00, or if it's ordered from crutchfield it's free. The background on the reciever is also changeable to match the interior. Mine happens to match the wood pretty well.

The dash kit is from exoticwooddash.com and is in Synthetic Dark Burlwood. It actually looks darker and less red in person and really sets off all of the obnoxious silver plastic. I personally feel the wood trim allows a black radio to look stock.

I'd like to hear everyone's comments. I personally are incredibly happy with the result hopefully this will give some ideas to those wanting to integrate ipods or re-design the interior.

It looks good Nick. I'm contemplating putting black carbon fiber in mine. I have cedar/slate interior. I saw a picture of one on here that looked pretty good. Again, nice touches on your interiors

Thanks. The Carbon Fiber is a really nice look as well. I tend to think the CB looks a little "sportier" than wood. Its all personal preference, but these over-lay kits really look great in the Crossfire IMO.

Wow, I was really mixed on how this would look in our cars. Now I think I am going to have to go out and look at what all options are available. Looks nice. Is that just a GPS on your dash?

I have put in black carbon fiber dash kit. With the black trim on the radio, it blends in nicely.

Looks very nice as well. Is that the real carbon fiber or synthetic?

Real carbon fiber. I thought it was worth the 20% extra.

Not to be a hater or a wet blanket (you asked what we thought!), but I think the stickers look terrible and very cheap - ruining the refined minimalist styling.

The carbon fiber is better than the wood, as at leask the carbon fiber "look" goes along with the modern/tech styling of the interior. But the real problem here - IMO - is that the ones shown are stickers and they don't even cover the angled sides of the trim pieces. There's someone here on the forums that has carbon fiber trim - the whole trim piece. It looks 1000 times better.

Nice head unit though.

I used black carbon fiber and an Alpine ida X001. Trim matches pretty nicely. Pics in my Gallery.

I agree and you asked. You're too young to know them but it reminds me of the '60-'70s station wagons with fake wood paneling. IMHO, fine wood grain looks best on luxury cars. Metal and carbon fiber belong to sports cars.

I agree with everything posted here. I think the stock interior looks much cleaner and like it 'belongs'.

To each their own, as long as you like it - that's what matters.

It only matters if you like it.

Reminds me of the dash of my Mom's '66 Bonneville Coupe - hardly a sports car...

Looks like you did a good job installing it. Might have looked nice with all the gray painted black first with that upholstery paint.

I did a silver carbon fiber "sticker" interior trim in my Audi A4 a couple years ago, and it looked really good. I dislike the fact with this car that the stickers don't completely cover the trim.

I drive a black srt-6, and I want to remove the trim and get it painted Gloss Black, has anyone removed all of the trim before?

The reciever looks really good, I strongly recommend the rear camera, this car has ridiculous blind spots. I just purchased a kenwood and can't wait to hook it up .

I like it. The red tone I'm thinking is different in person, but I see what you were shooting for and it looks nice, oh except clean that radio screen up man!
