N/A and SRT Seat differences
N/A and SRT Seat differences
Besides the suede inserts and the SRT lettering, what are the differences in the seats? I would like to have a set of full leather seats instead of ones
with the suede inserts, but want to make sure that they are basically the same. Do they both have the same power and heating functions? and if so, do they both use the same plug? I found a couple of sets on EBAY that are black leather out of an '07, but the pics are not very good. Thanks for any help.

I have both and the seats support, warm, and recline/move identically. The difference is the covering. No idea about plugs but cannot imagine they would be different. You may want to check around a couple upholstery or auto shops for someone who could recover them in real leather. I'm not convinced the limited seats are 100% leather all around.
I was dumbfounded to discover my A6 leather seats were only real leather where your butt/back go; the bolsters on the sides were fake leather.

The Alcantara seating can also be found on performance versions of the Porsche and an option on Ferrari. Holds you in the seat better than smooth leather when doing some spirited driving or on a road course and is much cooler to rest your body after it has been sitting in the sun. Very important in the South West.

I can't imagine having the smooth leather seats in the SRT!! You would slide all over the place. As it is, I still get thrown around while driving spiritedly - enough so that my foot comes off the throttle sometimes, which puts the nose in a dive, and slams back on the throttle. It can be a real rollercoaster. I can't imaging having slippery leather instead of the alacantra.

The leather on the Limited Crossfire seats is of subpar quality in my opinion. The leather to me has always seemed a little plastic like to the touch, and more brittle than I would expect out of quality leather. My bolsters already show substantial creases and wrinkles and I condition the leather every month or so. I would much prefer Alcantera.

Didn’t mean to strike a nerve, just-informing MUTT a seat swap had been done before. I wouldn’t spend that much on seats either .
