A Solstice!?!?!?

I saw a Saturn Sky getting on the entrance ramp of the freeway in front of me. I noticed it was the turbo because of the double exhaust so I didn't try him but you could really tell when he opened it up and there was no way I would have been able to catch him. That was a humbling experience and I didn't even race him and that's a 4 cyl car.

I hate to be a party pooper but at the end of the day who cares? The street ain't an NHRA Drag Strip. SO big deal a friggin Solstice or Cobalt can keep up with you. Guess what, there's probably some kid out there in a VW Rabbit that can beat you. Just take solace in the fact you have one of the coolest cars on the street. A car that doesn't need to go fast to be noticed. All the cars you mention are a dime a dozen, they're everywhere. How many Crossfires have you seen today? I might add if you get caught street racing, have fun watching your Crossfire sit in the garage for a few years. And don't like that insurance payment? Get caught racing and if you can even find insurance it will be double what you pay now. As for the track, have fun.

Re: A Solstice!?!?!?
I raced a supercharged SS cobalt, I didn't even know the new ones have the turbo on them lol, oh well just think about it they are using forced induction, we are N/A we all know what the xfire can do with boost, just look at the srt6 but the n/a xfire would be faster because of the manual trans
Re: A Solstice!?!?!?
oh and to answer your question noles, some cars you can beat are, low to late 90's mustang GT's (with no mods of course), you could beat a bottom of the line srt4 for a short distance, you can stomp just about any family sedan, I personally have beat an srt4,mitsubishi eclipse turbo, infinity g35 (4 door auto tragic),aftermarket turboed ford probe with a klze,90 mustang gt, subaru wrx impreza (2003ish), so ya there are plenty of cars out there that the n/a xfire can handle easily just enjoy your awesome car!
Re: A Solstice!?!?!?
It all depends on the drivers. Non-turbo Solstices are easy. I beat an 1988 vette once...driver was an idiot. Another idiot was a guy in a Prius....I could have read my newspaper by the time he got to speed.
