Default Drivers side door lock - not attached from factory!

All,
I've had my 2007 coupe for 4 months now. I've never used the keyed lock on my drivers side door. Yesterday, I noticed that the lock was loose. Upon further inspection it fell out! I first thought someone had attempted to steal it - but noticed that the screw that holds it in was not there and not stripped and the female side (the lock's threads) were not stripped either. Apparently at the factory had just snapped it in place and neglected to attach the screw. I'd had planned to bring it back to the dealer - but thought I would ask - how hard is it to get to this screw from the inside (ie get to it from the inside)? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!
