I visited an old friend in Mercedes UK and while waiting in the showroom looked over the SLR a wonderful design which gives the impression of doing 100mph while stationary. Now here's the interesting part, it shares the same foot pedal controls as our Crossfire's, bright metal and rubber studded. Nice to know we Xfire owners have a very small link to Mercedes Mc Laren SLR.

Thats actually really cool. I think I will tell people that, it gives off an air of luxury and class. A majority of people think my car is a $40K car anyways. I'm an intern at my office and the 'big wigs' frequently ask how I am driving "that" car in bewilderment.

 

You car IS a $32K car.. kinda close to 40k!

 

I have seen a previous post that states that we also have the same ECU.

 

The car WAS a $32K. Despite what it once was, the Crossfire has depreciated a great deal. I find satisfaction in the fact that I picked up a $32K (give or take) for $15K and that its a high quality automobile. This is compared to many people in my company who own similarly luxurious lexus, bmw, mercedes, etc. cars for premium price and who still look admiringly at mine.

 

I heard we also share the same automatic transmission-theres is beefed up a little more though.

 

I just got my srt-6 and found the paperwork in the glove box that shows the sale price in 2006 for my 2005 srt6 was ,,,,39256.00

 

but MB still have mechanics to work on them

oh wait im just making up crap like all of you are. there is NO way we have the same pedals as the SLR. they make look close but how many sports cars that you know of have these pedals

Not to burst anyone's bubble here, but the pedals in my Crossfire Limited Roadster look just like the ones in my PT Cruiser Turbo.

Geez, talk about a limited parts bin - from the PT to the McLaren SLR! And here I thought it was a bit odd to see the same radio in my PT and a Viper.

 

the mclaren is awesome!!!! my neigbor has one, and a whole garage full of exotics. look for him on ebay im pretty sure the mclaren is listed along with one of his gt-40's. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...spagenameZWDVW id be glad to check on any of his rides if anyone wants an inspection!!

 

I wish I could drop $250,000 on a car..... My lord, I hope he has a nice garage.
