Default Headlight Parts ?

Does anyone know if the clear plasic lens for the front headlight can be ordered seperately instead of ordering the whole light unit. I've found the entire unit cost about $575.00. Part numbers in the lens are:

Right: 89210328
Left: 89210329

are these number good? or are they only relavent to the manufacture (made in Belguim). I might pay $100 to $150 for the lens, but $600 for the entire unit is a little pricey for my taste.

Cool Re: Headlight Parts ?

The headlamps are sealedb units....you cannot buy the lenses seperate. You can find the whole headlamp in used condition from time to time on ebay.

Chris just go on Ebay. There are always used lights there. They range from $25 - $100.

I don't think anyone asked; why?

Do you have the fogged interior or are the outsides of the lenses getting nicked/scratched up?

They can be polished to nearly new condition. Do a search for the procedures.

Just a thought.

There doesn't seem to be any condensation on the inside of the lens but the top outside (eye brow area) is pitted and rough to the touch. I have downloaded the instructions to repair the lens via sand paper and polish, but if I do that I plan to remove the light assemblies from the car (much easier then tape on the fender that accidently come off).

Or you sanded through!

I think this is the way to go. From eBay, you might get one that's in more trouble than the one you have.

Did you see the instructions/pictorial from the "BMW Guy"?
