2006 Crossfire automanual
2006 Crossfire automanual
In blue, or a 2004 nissan 350z. These are my two choices.
The CF is 16800, has 28000 miles, autostick.
350 is 17500, has 36000 miles, stick.
Now i was going to go with the 350z but test drove a crossfire today and fell in love, i know they arent as fast as the z but it felt like plenty power for me. I really prefer manual cars but on a nissan forum it seemed everyone was having clutch problems.
What i wann know is what are the major problems on the Crossfire, if any? Should i suck it up and drive the automanual and sacrifice some horsepower, or take the chance with the z?

I always liked the Xfire when they came out but the price seemed out of my range to purchase new, so during the course of looking for used hard top sports cars I stumbled on some Xfires looking for certain price ranges in the used market. I could not believe what I could pick up one of these awesome cars for- and to top it off built by Karmann with lots of Mercedes parts and drivetrain!
I read all of the reviews I could and everything checked out, and having owned mine for a few months and knowing it inside and out I am convinced I made a GREAT purchase. If you read enough of the reviews here and at other sites all of the bad things (minimal) are true, but best of all- the good things are also true and there are much, much more good things.
Bottom line if you want a great (not fast off the line), sweet looking car for about 10K less than it should cost buy one if you like it.

crossfire all the way. I think the biggest difference between the nissan and the crossfire is that you see 25 z's in a quarter mile and maybe 1 crossfire in week. The z is a nice car don't get me wrong, but the crossfire is a whole different world. It is a 50,000 dollar car quality wise, for less than half of that. Goodluck!

I looked at the 350z but settled on the xf for a number of reasons, price, rarity and I fit in it. The s2000 was a little tight. The people who like afs want something a little different. Like some other have posted, I see 350zs all the time but only 3 to 4 xfs in the last year.
