Default Crossfire vs. deer (With Picture)

Searching around for that carnage brought about by deer, I didn't see any pics. So as the title says, this is what happened to me this morning about 12:30 AM eastern coming home from work. I am a little sore right now other than that, I am fine. My poor car on the other hand...

As low as the car sits, when I Bambi I took took his legs out from under him and he hit the glass and rolled over. That was a little scary for the moment I thought a deer wear gonna be riding shotgun.

Some positives; I can finally get rid of those hazy headlights, and that front license plate bracket delete.

Anyone have any idea on a repair time estimate?? Are the parts gonna have to come from Germany??

Bummer.....glad you are O.K ....those damn overgrown rats ( deer ).

Sorry, I Can't help with your question. However, is the damage limitted to the body and windshield? Does your car still run and drive O.K. meaning no engine, drivetrain, or frame damage? It probably doesn't take much damage for an insurance company to total a Crossfire these days. Repair expenses vs value of the car.

Good luck. Hopefully your crossfire will have a speedy recovery.

I am going to school for auto tech but it's repair not collision repair/refinishing. From what I can tell, the front clip (frame) is twisted. Bumper is done. Heard a hissing so I think it's condenser, don't see any fluids on ground or on the plastic shield. Probably a radiator though with it being so close to condenser. Headlights and a chip in the windshield. There's a little crack in the windshield plus some feces where the deer hit the glass, but it didn't shatter when it rolled over the top of the coupe. the hood of course would need replacing.

I've been in accidents before and so I know that labor is always more than parts, do you guys think this is so with the uncommonness of the Crossfire.

For me it's a win win situation, if they just repair the Crossfire then I get it back (although I also get the stigma of an accident as well) and if it's totalled, well I took out a loan for 21K and only paid 12,500 for it so the other 7500 went to the Jeep, so it's like a free 7500 bucks. The Jeep is soon to be sold so that would go into an SRT this time around. I love the manual, but a supercharger is funner

I'm thinking screw the bumper and upgrade to an SRT Tod64K and Katie are selling theirs. If only another Graphite Metallic would come my way....

Jeez, more people hitting deer's again.

Did an Autotrader search and there's about 5 Coupes and 3 roadsters in Graphite for sale, as far as location, I can't tell

To bad he didn't hit your lower bumper, so you could get an SRT one!

I had to go to Kentucky yesterday, over 850 miles round trip, and I never saw another Crossfire. But I did see about 30 or 40 live and dead deer.
I've never seen as many as I did on this one trip, and I very nearly hit one on the outskirts of Louisville, missing him by no more than a couple of inches.
I'm really sorry to hear about your encounter, and I hope you don't have any problems getting it fixed.

WTF is up with hitting deer in Iowa!!! I didn't get into the little buggers legs though, rolled him up under the car and yes, the little CF flew for a few feet before slamming back into the pavement. Glad to hear you're ok though. Cars can be replaced, people on the other hand can not. Well not the good ones at least, right!?!?

from what i hear it was a good thing we hit it. instead of hitting something else after swerving around it, because from what my insurance company says my rate wont go up since i hit it. but if i swerved around it and hit a tree it would have. idk if thats the case for yours but thats what i was told

Mine looks a lot like yours without the airbags going off. If that's 12K then maybe mine won't be totalled. Airbags are like 2-3 thousand.

How long did it take to get repaired? Or is it still in process, or totalled?
