Crossfire Blind Spots
Crossfire Blind Spots
Some the Forum pros may know this already
When i first purchased my crossfire I realized i had to almost do a 360 degree head turn before changing lanes. Got some nasty horn honks. Then i discovered on a report that you must adjust the mirrors so that you don't see the car and it worked! Blind spot gone. I've tested this for two weeks paying close attention to cars on both sides. I adjusted my mirrors so that i only can see the back of the door handles and almost none of the car. The mirrors pointed slightly downward so I can see the white lines in the road and the space closer to the car. When a car approached I could see it in the mirror on either side and before it past It would not dissapear at all I was able to immediatly see the front end using my peripheal. It is a bit awkward at first and will take some getting used to. You will probably have to adjust for your height thought i pass this along since I've gotten such great advice from this forum. good luck

Re: Crossfire Blind Spots
I did this in my driveway... I just used a few things for reference... i used a tree I could see in my rear view mirror.. you shouldn't be able to see that on your side mirrors.. b/c if you can see it in one mirror you should use the others to see other things.
I point the side mirrors more at a perpendicular angle with the car so I can see the lanes next to me.. not behind me.
So far it has worked really good. As soon as I see a car disappear from my rear view mirror they appear in my side view mirrors.
I am extremely confident with how I have them.. but I always do a quick glance b4 changing lanes.

Re: Crossfire Blind Spots
The trick is to (with the windows up) move your head as far as you can to the left and then adjust the left mirror so you can just barely see down the side of the car in the right edge of the mirror. Next with the seat belt locked or at least without moving your butt out of the seat lean to the right about the same amount and then adjust the right mirror so you can just see the edge of the car in the left edge of the mirror.
This should allow you to see objects just starting to move off of your center mirror slide into either side.
Hope that helps. Cheers!
