The Stars, The Sun & The Moon?
Re: The Stars, The Sun & The Moon?
I've noticed this BIG TIME! I'm not going to be the pot calling the kettle black... I'm not 100% innocent myself, but I have gotten myself under control. Some people (New and Old) have gotten just plain RUDE and Mean Spirited.
Is it the price of gas? The economy? PMS? Poor Market Value? I don't get it...
Someone please explain! It's really getting old, and I'm tired of jumping someone's #### for being a Tool...
Personally, I think it should be like every other forum I'm a member of. If you mis-behave, you take a few days off to think about it. If you do it again, you go bye bye permanently.
I think the mods/admins need to start handing out Suspensions and Bans...
Just my $0.02

As far as bans go, this should almost never happen. Only after repeated warnings and suspensions should a person be banned.

breaking rules =same thing
banned more then 3 times = suspention for 1 month
Banned again for 1 year
Rules of forum should be stated on top page in bold letters who is
senior directors of forum min. 5 people
Head director of forum 1 person
voting should begin for senior dirctors then those 5 or 7 will vote for head director

As a member of this forum for a fairly long time (11/2004) I can tell you that, like any other public forum, we have had, and will continue to have a certain number of jerks who want to make it personal. But the good news is that every one of them that showed up here eventually went away when the rest of the members get tired of their behavior and started ignoring them.
Before we start considering warnings, suspensions, point systems, etc., remember that this forum has survived this long without it. Resist the urge to respond to the jerks, and ignore them instead.
I have also seen members respond very strongly because they have perceived some slight when none was intended. Before you respond, read the post twice and take a deep breath..give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
Remember...before you respond to someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, if you decide to respond, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.

It's the internet.....we can all get away saying stuff we'd NEVER say to another person face-to-face. Ever see the way your kids "talk" to one another through IM or MySpace, etc.?
Never worry, Bill, you're loved by many a member here! And like Greenie said above: the jerks eventually disappear when their attitudes are ignored.
