the base has no power seats no seat heater the shift ***** come in black, no sub woofers behind seat, no heated sidemirrors, i think no tire pressure sensor either, manual only, everything like the streaks on the side car, the door handles and little thingaroundthe windshield are black and not silver, i dont think it comes with an infinity sound system either, nofog lights, no cup holder, and a couple minor other things

No worries, there's just been a lot of really weird stuff (a lot of it just downright insulting, actually) going on around here lately with different camps sort of dissing one another for no good reason. For the record, I don't own a Base model Crossfire but I wouldn't mind one little bit having one share my garage with my Limited Roadster. It's all good.

Wow, a stripped base model is a good way to save weight for sure. Too bad there wasn't a totally stripped base SRT-6, now that would be badass! Having an SRT-6 here in Florida makes the heated seats a waste, well maybe one or 2 days a year I may use it.

They possably could have changed it for the 2007, but my 2005 Base did not come with TPMS

I think it may have had something to do with the Feds. Rick.

I have a 2006, base, roadster. And it was not equiped with TPMS. I'm a car salesman at a Chrysler store, and the Limited/SRT6 are the only models equiped with such a system.

Here is a list I picked up on another post. Not sure how accurate it is. But I tell you, the Gas Strut on the Glove Box alone is worth the cost!

The Limiteds have "Homelink" garage door openers buildt in also, & Crossfire doorsills....altogether ....there's about 15-20 little differences.

I am 6'3" and I the only Crossfires that I can sit in without my head touching the roof are the base models. The non electric seats sit lower and I think the non leather seats may be thinner. So that is the main reason I drive a base other than that I like both models.

Do not forget the Special Edition. I purchased a new SE roadster in Blaze red. It has SRT wheels, silver trim except for windsheild pillars(Thanks, I prefer black) I replaced cloth seat with leather/power/ heat($300LKQ) Installed wood grain dash, Windstrictor, Sprint booster, transparent bra and pressure caps....Performance is more than adquate, handling is excellent. I'll put maybe 3K a year on it(too many cars and bikes)...It will never see salt....It is the most beautiful car I have yet to see........

Just to clear things up, I have a 2007 Base Model with the "optional" 5-speed Automatic Transmission with Autostick(R) at extra cost. Window sticker says that's what it is. Also has the Special Edition Group with Satin Door Handles and Aluminum Wheels similar to the SRT-6. It's not a limited because there is no leather, no fog lights, no cup holder, etc.

Hope that clears up any questions. I enjoy the discussions, just like I enjoy the car. Have fun!!

Is it just me or do others also, when they read about shaving weight off of a car to increase performance, wonder about the weight of the driver and how much of that weight could be shaved off? I picture a driver who can bearly get their fat *** into the car, removing the sun visors to save weight, to increase performance.
