Default Good bye to all

After being part of this forum since I bought my NA and SRT I have enjoyed the friendships and common interests greatly.

Thanks to HDDP and Andrew and those that I forget to mention for their assistance and support in getting Australia's only racing Crossfire both on the track and competitive with a second in it's first year of full time competition against 911, Lotus and other up to 4Litre sports cars.

I feel that with the blatant promotion and the trend towards personal gain, by companies that at best just dont check out I can no longer be part of this community.

I will continue to develop my car and continue to race, now bringing in a left hand drive specifically for development purposes and to try new things.

I wish you all well.

Good bye
Hugo

Now, I understand your frustration as I've seen some of what you're talking about, but many of the sellers on here have been genuinely trying to develope quality aftermarket parts. All you have to do is ignore the posters you don't agree with. You can help the rest of us out by sticking around and sharing relevant information instead of being a wuss and deciding to just ignore the entire site. If something in particular happened, why not share it with the rest of us so that we don't fall victim to unscrupulous actions.

Seems like a simple case of you having your knickers in a bunch, mate!

I agree.
I've seen several times where people/vendors were trying to sell their wares
in sections of the forum meant for other purposes.
If they are posting promos in big red letters in other sections of the forum, ignore them, and, in any event, don't buy anything from anyone without reading proof of performance & positive feedback.

Instead of ignoring the whole forum, just ignore the people in question. There is a way to not see postings from people you choose to ignore.

I'm sorry you feel this way, Please let someone like Andrew or HDDP know what has happened or you can PM me if you want. I certainly will miss your race reports, plus I need to know how the water cooled brakes held up during next weekend' race.

Edit: Nevermind I found it: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...275#post237275

What a silly cry for attention this thread is, lol. Why in the hell would anyone care if someone is selling products on this site, there is an ignore feature you know.

I bet he does not leave, lmao.

+1 I have to completely agree with this comment, are we tweleve ???... Half the companies around here are making this car better then HDDP could ever have imagined. Two years ago this car literally was going nowhere. You were around here 2006, you as well as I could show you a hundred post claiming the SRT6 would never break 11s. I could show you close to 50 saying the N/A will never be able to make more then 15-20 after market hp. Say what you want you had to fork over $3k to get anything done for the SRT EVO and RENNTECH, 8k for the N/A for a kleemans supercharger or $1,200 for a power chip tune, THAT IS ALL THAT THERE WAS AND THEY WERE NOT EVEN PRIMARILY FOR OUR CARS.

I only dreamed of having a Renntech kit on an SRT6 and when I had my N/A everyone on here at the time was constantly saying NOTHING CAN BE DONE TO THIS CAR MERCEDES BENZ SCREWED US ALL. I currently have a RENNTECH pulley and the only reason I have it, is because LET drove the price of these old style pulleys down significantly with their then new improved design, THE same of which can now be said for CODE3 which will probably drive LET's prices down.

As far as price gouging goes show any of us hard facts and figures that this is happening. I know from first hand this is not the case at all. If anyone doesn't believe me try and build your own CAI for less then $150, get the spark plug number off LET's site and call up your local part store SEE IF THEY CAN BEAT THEIR PRICE, last but not least dump 30k into being able to tune these cars through the ECU and try not to charge $900 a piece, the rough AVERAGE, to make your money back.

Once again I am not trying to attack you, But your 12 year old poor me cant be part of a site that I have hardly contributed to, (not nearly as much as Woody or HDDP for having the only crossfire RACE car in Austrilia) is just that crying out for attention.

Bye Hugo, we finally have a few companies that want to do something for these cars and you have a problem with them. You don't like what they are selling or think they are over priced say it, but then cry and say you can't be part of this forum, thats crazy, just dont read their posts.

Bye bye Hugo.

I think it is pretty impressive that the site owner does not require vendors to pay a fee to sell here. Most sites do charge for that so it is very nice of the owner to wave that cost.

I couldn't disagree with you more, Jonny. Charging $900 for what is esentially a firmware update is gouging.

Allow me to qualify that a bit, so that no one gets the wrong idea. If you take your car to a tuner shop and they put it on a dyno and create an ECU tune specifically for your car and your mods, sure, that's worth $900. But when you mail a shop your ECU and they burn the same old C32 image onto it and mail it back and charge you $900 for it, THAT is gouging. Frankly, I think $500 is too high for a mail-in ECU tune.

You can actually get it done for $325.

Been awhile since someone got their shorts in bunch, dropped a nasty-gram and left. All I can say is what was said to the last dozen or so that did this. Goodbye.
