Thanks for everyones opinion to which everyone is entitled. I actually hoped this thread might stir a little controversy, and it seems to have succeeded by falling into a abstract rhetoric on the US government and all its endearing qualities. I was disappointed though, no comments at all on the faint possibility of a Nissan-Renault buyout of Chrysler!? Please continue however, this debating is certainly interesting!

Eh, in terms of the Crossfire, I don't think it really matters. We're all using aftermarket pieces from forum buddies and services from Mercedes anyways. From a Nissan-Renault economic standpoint, it would be a great vector with which to introduced their European designs into the United States without really taking a huge risk. The risk is there, sure, but Chrysler isn't helping itself, so I think N-R has a good opportunity.
