Just more brilliance of Chrysler's marketing department!

I think Diamler really did not want Chrysler to be successful with this car as it could cut into sales of the SLK's.

Probably too controversial with the religious connotations. Wimpy marketing staff. They really did this car a disservice.

Are you sure they never aired that commercial? I sure thought that I saw it a couple of times.
Probably too much nudity for most markets.

Because it's gay?

Just a guess.

No, associating a beautifully crafted and well engineered machine with nature is gay.

Ever see high-end euro car commercials? They are always focused around precision engineering and mechanical beauty... not naked men.

EDIT: ... or the Planeteers.

It would be better suited for a movie than a car. And the girls have hairy arm-pits! Or at XXX theater!

I didn't find it provocative sexually at all really. Not too the extent it would be unsuitable. Axe commercials are more sexual than that. I simply just feel like it focused on theatrics more than on the merits of the car. There were less than 10 secs of actual crossfire footage.

But I'd definitely be in favor of a "300 (the movie, not car)" style version commercial for the Crossfire.

I believe that the commercial was developed by a college student for a class, not for or by Chrysler.

I believe you are correct. Think this discussion came up before.

That would explain the basic CGI, crappy synth music, and off-color elements.

I don't think they really wanted Chrysler to be successful in general IMHO.

Because it would encourage us all to drive our Crossfires naked! Then we could file a class action against Chrysler!

Wow! Now that I'm a hardcore Crossfire fan, it has to be one of the best car commercials I have ever seen! I wish I can remake it as the car being an SRT-6 model instead! Video rocks!

This wasn't done by Chrysler. It was done by a Crossfire owner that was a Film Student. I can't remember what school he went to, but I know he did this "commercial" as his final project before graduation. That's actually him in the Video. I'll look up his info. I have it saved somewhere.
