inspection required for tags...worry
Re: inspection required for tags...worry
Funny story about my car and Maryland emissions. Took it in about a month ago on a weekday, beginning of the month. Nobody there should have taken about 5 minutes tops. First problem the two lard asses working there couldn't fit in the car. They had to get a supervisor to move it. Then they could figure out how to hook it up to the equipment. Apparently their book had nothing in it about Crossfires. All the while this is going on my drivers side door is sitting about an inch from one of those steelposts filled with concrete. They finally figured it out. Car survived but I was sweating bullets. Could not believe the hired two people that don't fit in a sportscar.
Hope your inspection went smooth. One of life's little presents when you live in Maryland.

They pull the cars drive wheels up on a pair of rollers, and then run it up to a certain speed and check the emissions. Sounds simple enough, and it should be. But one time my nephew took a nearly new Corvette over to be E-Checked and the "trained professional" pulled the Vette up on the rollers, secured the front wheels and ran the RPMs up. For some reason the Vette started fish tailing, and eventually traveled enough to scrap the tire and then the wheel.
When they pulled the car out and gave my Nephew his certification, he pointed out the damaged wheel, and the "Brain Trust" who just ruined the wheel didn't say a thing. He simply pointed to a sign on the wall that said, "Not responsible for any damage", shrugged his shoulders and walked away.
That's why I register all my "newer" cars that are requied to be E-Checked in a the county just 1 mile south of where I live so I don't have to go thru that head ache.

GEE, glad we did away with inspections in IN...it got so here, if you knew someone, you pay the money, get a sticker, and you were on your way...nothing was ever looked at...the state finally gave up, didn't have enough people to inspect the inspectors...
