[quote=chuck65]OK Guys, here's the real deal. I have 2006 Crossfire brochure that say's, and I quote " See a hood influenced by the sleek designs of America's early 20th. century locomotives".[quote]
I think I can see exactly where they were going with that idea. The resemblance is uncanny.

That really is uncanny. Did you go out and take that picture to prove the point or is that a coincidence?

Chuck, I'm sure Chrysler's brochure was refering to trains more like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/1883...01#reader-link
I just couldn't help razzing RickZ on his recent Photo op.
His car being black and all was just too much to resist.

Re: photoshoped images.
Yeah your right +fireamx, it's more of a "Deco" train. I think that the lame comparison of the Crossfire to a train by the ad agency that Chrysler hired to promote the vehicle may be part of the reason for the slow sales. I don't think that Dr. Z would approve. They should have made the Crossfire a Dodge and let them promote the Crossfire as a bad *** manly machine. Link it to the Viper % Prowler. A concept brought to production. I can honestly say that I can't ever remember seeing a Crossfire ad in any media form.
Ya know what? The Audi TT looks a lot more like a bar of soap than the Crossfire looks like a train and you didn't see Audi saying, " Influenced by the clean profile of a bar of Ivory"
Now I planted that image forever in your brains, every time you see a TT you will see that bar of soap. At least we can say it's a "clean" looking car.

So what vehicle is modelled after "SoftSoap Liquid Soap"? A slippery Lamborghini, perhaps? This could be fun....
