I'm new to board. Just bought a used 2005 automatic roadster 3 days ago. This afternoon, I drove from home to the town that I work in during the week (about 125 mi.) --all highway, except stopping at the single stoplight in each of the 4 little towns along the way. I kept my foot out of it, drove the speed limit, set the cruise, etc. and got 30.1 mpg!! I was delighted.

 

My 04 coupe auto got around 19-20 in town and about 23 on the highway...the new 6 speed roadster gets around 22 in town and 26-27 on the highway at 80mph.

 

I have a 2006 Roadster with Autostick and have been getting between 29.5 and 30.5 MPG on my 80 mile expressway commute. I never exceed the speed limit and use the cruise control most of the time. I have also had no difficulty handling winter conditions with up to 4 inches of snow. Nice and easy gets you thru.

 

Just turned 2667 miles in my '06 roadster,with maunual shift, and have put 106 gallons in the tank to date.

Subtracting 16 in the tank that's 27.5 MPG.

I generally drive aggresively but near the speed limit. Most of the time.

Hmm, How many liters in a gal. and how many miles in a kilometer. bad conversion maybe.

With mine, I have seen as low as 22 and as high as 29, but usually around 24-26. I'm still breaking mine in with slightly heavy foot.

 

21 around town stomping on it, 28-30 on the highway cruising.

 

I have an 06 SE Roadster, 6 sp. I just checked the last tank and got 22.4 mpg, about 90% of this was around town. Straight highway driving seems to be around 27.

 

I just calculated my MPG on my first tank of 50/50 E85/91premium mix and with all city driving "acheived" 15.2mpg...........it was 15.9 last week on 100% 91premium. This week I'm running 100% E85 and only time will tell what that's gonna drop it down to.

 

15.9.....this is the SRT-6....do you drive up and down Las Vegas Blvd constantly? (stop & go)?

 

Just got back from an 1100 mile round trip to Jacksonville FL. Average for the 3 fillups was 31.3 gallons. Easy driver with cruise. '04 autostick

 

I avg. 23.6 overall at 55 to 60 mph.

 

SRT's are the only new(er) cars I'd ever own.

 

On the highway, keeping it at 70 or less, I get about 24 mph. Around town it is all over the place.

 

So, if they take 87 octane gas & add 10% ETOH to get a 91 octane rating.....then that gallon of 91 won't ping.....but .....you'll get a lot less energy/mpg/power from that gallon......than you would if you buy the 87....

Wonder how 10% ETOH affects the max horsepower rating..........this whole thing really sucks !!!!

 

Imagine how much 85% ethanol effects the engine.

 

I would think an SRT-6 running on E-85 couldn't pull a sick ***** outta bed!

 

First Gas Mileage check on new car 18 City 29.1 Highway (Country). I really think I will see over 30 on open highway (cruise) driving. I am thrilled with this.

 

Just got a BP credit card, 10% rebate at BP stations for 2 billing cycles.....5% after that, then I'll get a card in the wife's name.....& do it over.....hey, they sell a 92 octane ETOH free fuel.

Moparrbust, are you serious about putting in E-85??? I thought an engine had to be specifically designed for E-85....What does E-85 cost in Vegas? I've never even seen it for sale around KC.
