Thanks for the information. Nothing firm on the $22K yet and it does NOT include TT&L. The search for a new 07 has been a bit frustrating. eBay sellers set reserves very high and then won't budge when I call them after the auctions are over. Steve White has a very good reputation for deals but they seem to be settled on $23900 for auto '07 Limiteds. Also, Chrysler has made the search more difficult because their inventory searches list the '06 and the '08 but no 07 Crossfires on their drop down list. Go figure. Dealers in my area are out of touch. One offered me a $900 "on-line discount" on an 08 Limited!!! It's really hard to gauge what the "right" price is right now.

If you have some suggested sources for looking at 'new 07 Coupes, I would really appreciate it. I would hate to see this window of opportunity close--especially with the lifetime powertain warranty.

SOONER,
Ran into the same problem here in St Louis. Dealers wouldn't budge. Of course now that I have one they tell me what they might have done.

I ended up buying mine in Ohio. Near Pittsburg PA. It was a long day but had a good time.

Texas, Eastern Ohio and S.Carolina seem to have dealers with new cars, willing to deal..

A good gauge is $ 12K off the sticker price. I think they got $10K from Chrysler and about $2k in holdbacks. They can write the deal up any way they like but those are the numbers/dollars they are all dealing with. The rest of the discount is what the dealer is willing to give up over his "actual" price. That can be up to about $5k. So, realistically, a $40K sticker can go down to $23K. The dealer wants to make some money so much beyond that is unlikely.

It is possible that having one or two Crossfires for "bait" on the lot is attractive to some retailers, and they will hold out for more to keep them for a while by pricing high.

Good luck in your search

roadster with a stick.

Sorry if this is question has been answered recently... Does the original dealer warranty (3/36) transfer to every subequent owner, no matter how many there are, or is there a limit? I'm just curious whether I need to buy from a dealer vs. a private party or non-chrysler dealer to get the warranty. Thanks!

For comparison, local auto seller here in sw Michigan has a 2006 Blue coupe, auto, nav with 16k miles for $16995. It's been sitting for a couple months and is probably negotiable. I stopped by to look at it and found out it was purchased at auction. Couple of the wheels have curb rash. My wife won't let me buy #3 and I prefer a stick anyway.

I hear people here talking about buying new Crossfire for low-mid 20s, but all the Crossfires I've found near me (Dallas or Seattle, which is where I will be moving soon) are priced at mid-high 30s. Can you seriously go to a dealer and offer nearly 60% of the sticker for a new car? I mean, I know they don't sell very quickly, but that seems pretty audacious! Naturally, I'm considering going used, but I'm concerned about the warranty (which is going to be expired on the 04s-05s and getting close on the 06+.) Can you get a good extended warranty on the Crossfire still? Are there some common issues that will come up that are not covered by warranty? What are you guys spending per year on maintenance/repair on the Crossfire? Since it's all M-B internals, I'm worried that all the money I might save on a used Crossfire is going to get eaten up on repairs. Thanks for your help, this is a gorgeous car, I'm just worried about the ownership costs
IMHO these cars are what you are willing to pay for them. They are basically ophans. Chrysler doesn't want them, nor does M-B. They are really good cars , peformance wise. IHMO. Most fun I have ever had car wise- $$$wise. I've owed several BMWs...incuding M3 and 700 series. Very much fun, very much fun for the $$$ ... more than M3... never diven a SRT-6... must be very powerful because the LTD can't stay straight, even on dry pavement.
