Post 04' advice/info?

I am thinking of buying red 04' limited coupe 6 speed w/30K miles crossfire localy for sale. I have noticed a lot of 04's for sale lately and was wondering what the difference is between an 04' and the latest models.

Also, is there anything I should watch out for when buying this car? I have read some posts about manuel transmission noises and such. My current 02' z24 cavalier has such problems along with everyone elses 00'-02' 5 speed cav. Throw out bearing nonsense.

I am awear of the door seal rust problems. Thank your for any help.

04s all came fully loaded. 05 and up you have to get a limited or SRT to get all the options. As long as all the recalls were performed you should have no real problems with that mileage vehicle. I think there are a lot of 04 now as all the leases are ending for people and the buy backs are to high. If you get it you will love it. Let us know what you decide and also-Welcome to the forum.

If the '04 you are looking at was built between Jun '03 and Dec '03... it may have the popping out of first gear issue. A condition which is hard to convience most dealers to fix something they can't readily duplicate.

Thanks for the info. I skimmed over the TSBs and that popping out of 1st gear issue seems to be the biggest of my worries. Although, I truely hope it happens durring the test drive. I could use another $500 off the sticker price. I just hope thats one of those TSBs they fix for free on a recall.
