2 many problems with crossfire
2 many problems with crossfire
I am really getting frustrated with this car and the dealership. I have only had this car for about 6 months and have had more problems with this car then any other car i have ever had. First its was the fuel relay module. Now i took it in for a ignition problem it locked up and wouldnt let me start it and they charged me $800 to get it fixed. So when i go to pick it up i drive off the lot and notice that my fuel gauge is not working. I took the car back and told them and they had to keep it another day to tell me that its something wrong with the floater or whatever its called inside the fuel tank. So i have to ride around not knowing how much gas i have in the car, and i dont know this car well enough to judge when i think i might need some gas.
Any advice on what I should do???
Any advice on what I should do???

If it was working when you drove in, they obviously did something wrong.
Re: 2 many problems with crossfire
I have a 2004 and I bought it with 38,000 miles on it. I bought a 4 year 48,000 mile warranty for about $1200. I only have to pay a $100 deductible. Haven't had to use it yet thank God.
I bet they forgot to plug it back up when they put the steering column back together.

cars should be a great experience. even if you take a loss, replace that car and move on.

Funny Thread... Really funny thread... Your name is "Dopeboymagic" and you are complaining about money... LMAOOOOOOOOOO.... Wow.. You all must be in a drought or something.. Picking at you. Anyway man I've had my car for 4 years drive well over 100 mph every day, have maxed out at 155 over 20 times and have not had any problems out of my car other than the recall on the 04 foglights and things i've done to the car. I run my car hard and it's proven to be a champ to me. Sorry for your misfortune.. I truly am.
Re: 2 many problems with crossfire
It's unfortunate, but some dealerships just want to screw you I've rarely had issues with any dealership but I've done alot of the work myself, the work I have the dealership do, I don't have any problems with, and I agree fully with BORICAN, if you drive it in working, you should drive it out working, no questions asked, and they are scared of lawyers (bad press etc) so they are more than willing to work with you if you seem pissed off enough.

Re: 2 many problems with crossfire
The top problem aside with my current crossfire, now fixed after 10 trips to the dealer, I've rarely had problems with the 17 Chryslers I've owned of the years. I had a 99 Concorde LXi that had a common problem of the speed sensors in the tranny get dirty and go out. The dealer replaced one and said the code reader "went crazy" and it needed a $3,200 transmission. I called BS on that one and took to a transmission shop that replaced the other sensor for a mere $140 bucks. Soon that dealer was out of business of course.
The problem is most Chrysler dealers look at the Crossfire like it's kryptonite or something and don't want to work on them. If I were you I'd plunk down the change for the Chrysler MAX warranty, that also covers a rental car for up to 5 days while in for repairs. Get the warranty and take it back till they fix it or find another dealer in the area, unfortunately here the same company owns the Chrysler in the next town over so I'm stuck with them for service.
I almost gave up on mine, but Im glad I didn't and now I have 2 ...
