Default A big favor

I don't mean to be a pest, but could somebody go out into their garage and measure their Crossfires battery for me.
I need all the demensions so I can purchase an Optima battery at Summit Racing that will fit my car.
I'm eventually going to use the battery in my AMX, but until The dealer gives me another "factory" battery, I'm going to use the Optima in the Crossfire, just so I can get it home from the dealer. They told me it would take 7 to 10 days to get the battery, and I won't be here in 7 days to pick my car up.
Thanks
Mike

Mike

This is going to cost you.
L = 10 3/4
W = 6 3/4
H = 6 1/2 to top of battery case and 7 1/2 to top of posts.

Do not buy an Optima. Ihey are nothing but junk. I have replaced four of them for people that had nothing but problems out of them & Optima well not do a thing about them. They will not hold a charge if you don't drive the car every day. I have one in my 73 firebird & it has only started it a few times I have to charge it every time. It will be replaced by a wet cell befoer I drive it again. Junk Junk Junk

Thumbs down Re: A big favor

73firebird is absolutely correct on this one! Do not buy one of these worthless Optima batteries. I bought a "red top" one less than 2 years ago for my Prowler and it's gone stone dead twice after less than a month of non-usage. If you store your car or drive it only "now and then", these frickin' batteries are crap. They puke and then won't take a charge. Optima
will not exchange them without you actually sending them the battery. Then they will decide if they will replace it or not. So, what exactly are you supposed to do with your car in the mean-time? (I've got a good suggestion...buy a $40 walmart battery, throw the $140 Optima in the trash and consider it a lesson learned). Never again!

Again guys, thanks for the heads up about the Optima.
But since I've been informed by a fellow forum member who is friends with the Tech. who's been working on my car, it turns out it still won't start even with a new battery. So it looks like it's going to be stuck at the dealer for the duration.
TownCrier has assured me that my car is in excellent hands though, so at least that's a comforting thought.
