Default Question.

I got a 05 xFire.

It's automatic and I got a button with a W/S right next to my ****. I'm not sure what it's for and what does it do? Also I have - and a + sign when the car in in D. I'm new so please bare with my dumb questions.

The W/S is for winter or standard driving modes. Only change them when you are stopped and in park. W is good for wet or slick conditions. It will start the car off in second gear so it will not lose traction. S is good for all other driving, summer dry conditions etc..

The + and - is there to let you know if you will be shifting up or down when using the manual shift feature of the Autostik transmission that is in all automatic Crossfires.

Enjoy your car and also note the search feature of this site will help you to find many answers to common questions. If you can't find it there, then be sure to post it in the appropriate place on the forum.

Welcome.

The w/s is for selecting either winter or summer transmission settings......I think that is what they stand for......I have a 6 speed so I'm not positive of the exact nomenclature.

the + and - are for when you are in manual mode and want to shift for yourself (kinda)......move the shifter to the left or right for upshifting or downshifting.

Again.....I have a stickshift with a clutch......so I may be off a little!
