Nice paint scheme...but I am saddened by the fact that you didn't R/I all the emblems, handles, mirrors, etc. to do the job (on your own car).

i'm sending that email now dan, you have my attention.

i'm not going to lead anybody on here. i was going to shoot that paint myself, but my dad offered and i was using his help anyways. it was with his tools and building so i let him do it. i layed the graffix and did most the prep work and he was behind the gun. he's not a painter, but has been doing auto body for 30+ years. i play with an airbrush every once in a while. i'm sure if i would have painted it, i'd need alot of wet sanding. as is, there's hardly any orange peel, you really have to search for it.

i can't remember the colors name, but its a ppg color out of their viberant collection. not cheap at all. even that black for a pint was $51.
Super job...looks really great. I applaud your creativity. I would not have had the courage.

Not for me but I've got to give you props for your creativity & your dad's skill with the gun! I love the orange/gold paint, I would've painted the entire car that color. Great job & very unique; no one will forget seeing it!!
Now you've got that two-tone Veyron look going!

the big reason behind the way i did it was time. i've been waiting about 6 months for enough time to do it. this was my chance, and i had 3 days. i would have prefered to strip the car to nothing, but i just couldn't. we did take extra care where we could and i'm quite pleased. only visible flaw thats slapped me was the insides of my mirrors didn't cover well enough, but i'll live with it until i have the time to pull them and redo.

Great job, very unique, and you nailed my favorite color orange. I've always wanted to find a nice Base car at a good price, and keep the hood, tops of the fenders, and the area under the grill black, and paint the rest of the car that shade of orange.
Now that I've seen your car and how good the orange looks on it, especially with the black, I may start looking more seriously.

Indeed very unique and nicely done...but IMO the lines of the car make it real difficult to pull off a nice flowing tri-color paint sheme. A+ for trying.

I love that orange - that's just HOT!!!

I agree that the entire car would look good with that color - but I have friend who loves to paint cars (he painted my Harley and the matching flames on my helmet) and when he first saw my car he said - "The Crossfire was made for a two tone paint job".

Nice spray and prep work - it really shows. The silver pinstripe will really set it off.

NICE!!

Can't wait to see it striped, buffed and waxed...

** EDIT **

Just a thought - paint the inside of the wheel spokes orange, the inner indentation of the spoke charcoal and the leave the rest silver (assuming it's close to the pinstripe silver color).

You'll stand out in a good way from coast to coast!!! Get those wheels on there and you got a beauty.

That's just spectacular! Better than the name Euro tuners for Porsche and BMW etc. You've got a great eye -- and now also the most unique looking Crossfire out there. Well done indeed.
