Karmann badge alternative
Karmann badge alternative
Hello, I have observed the ongoing reports of owners getting badges from Karmann. That's great, but here is an alternative. I have just installed the pictured badge in the interior of my '04 coupe. It represents yet another way to acknowledge the Crossfire's unique origins. The badge is off a VW Rabbit Cabriolet. They are available on eBay and VW restoration web sites. The one I got was kind of scruffy with the "chrome" lettering worn. I sanded it (the lettering) clean and painted it with silver paint. 70's vintage VW bug convertables also have a Karmann badge with a different shape. These are available as newly manufactured reproduction pieces.
Anyway, I like it and I just wanted to share the look. Best to all.
