I'm not sure you should do that! Just beware... if you test drive a SRT you'll have an even tougher decision to make. I know, I have both and can't bring myself to drive the Limited anymore.

Paid 21,500 for my 06 limited coupe. brand new.

2% below invoice is BS. either haggle that way down, or look into a new 04/05/06/07.

best of luck!

This is great info. I'm going to start making the rounds soon. I feel really stupid, but that is the difference between the Ltd. and base coupe?

The dealership in Lee's Summit Mo. (close to KCMO) has new '07s for $15K off sticker....they add the destination fee to that so it's really $14K off & they require you to borrow at least $10K or else they add another $1K. They tell you you have to hold the note for 3 months or so before you can pay it off...(I think that's bull)...anyway, I waited 3 months before I paid mine off (yesterday). I think mine was the last 6 speed they had....they still have about 10 automatics.

I agree!!

I recently bought my 06 Ltd. coupe with 13,000 miles for a very reasonable price. But the 06 does not come with a lifetime powertrain warranty as some one mentioned above.

good luck!

Look for a 2007 base if you want a really cheap "new" car. I got my crossfire from a dealer down in Florida. Was actually looking at the used ones on the lot and they were in pretty bad shape. The guy knew I wanted a crossfire and decided to sell me a brand new one for 19k. Good deal huh? Look around. If you want a "new" one, look for a 2007. 2008's, just as people have already pointed out, are just 2007's. There's no difference.

Best of luck to ya!

I beg to differ. Our brand new, never titled 2006 Limited Coupe (purchased last November) does include the lifetime powertrain warranty. And we talked the dealership into selling it to us for $20K. At that price, we could not pass on owning a Crossfire.

What about eBay motors for a 2007 Crossfire? Anything I should know, besides the usual?

I think you could get one for dirt cheap... for reference... if I were selling mine (which I'm not), I'd feel lucky to get 12-13k for it. I have a 2004, 28k miles, perfect condition... yeah, I'd feel lucky to get 12k.

I've been reading the Depreciation thread... wow, so this is great news for someone like me to pick up a '04 or '05 Crossfire now at a great value...

Time to buy for sure. Just 1 year ago I bought my 04 Crossfire with only 1 previous owner and 17200 miles and paid $18,900 and thought I was getting a great price considering it sold for $34,995 sticker new in 04. I would have never guessed it could be bought for less a year later. Go get one !! They are awesome cars.

Awesome man. Thanks for the info, I'm hoping to get one real soon, although I might wait for 6 months or a year if I think I can get an even better deal.

But if you get one now you can enjoy it all summer and be the coolest cat on the block.
Why wait ? I don't think they are gonna drop much more.
I HOPE NOT ANYWAY

I agree with you. I love mine and don't care what it is worth now. It's worth a $1 million to me and that is all that matters.

I'm actually considering jumping from my 05 coupe into an 05 roadster. The 05's are around 20-21, 06's get to 22-23, and newer are higher. The only things stopping me is mine has depreciated a bunch since I bought it last June. The other is mine is still under the 3/36 until 2/10, with the 7/70 after that. A replacement CPO roadster has the 80 powertrain warranty only. But the coupe's top doesn't go down. So still undecided.

Decisions decisions

This is all really great information. Thanks so much.

What about this: I'm 6'5, 230 pounds... tight squeeze? Will I fit at all? Thoughts? I'm going to test drive one this weekend if I can find one in my area, they same to be rare here (Birmingham, AL).

Right off the bat I'd say it's gonna be a tight squeeze.
I'm 6'2" and my hair touches the roof, and my knees are about 1" from the dash. A lot will depend on your torso/leg ratio. But, the seat is adjustable and accomodating. You'll find out on your test drive. Sit in the passenger side too - there's leven ess room there!!!
