Hello, Everyone! My First Post!
Hello, Everyone--
I am in the market for an '05 Blue Pearl Coupe. I have been a Miata fan and driver since 1995 and am looking for a second car to complete the 2-car garage. I've searched and searched, yet the Crossfire keeps calling me back! I love the looks and shape of this car!
Could you please provide me with the pros and cons of ownership that will aid me in making the proper decision? Seeing that the car was built in Germany, is the cost of maintanence a concern? Does the XFire use premium gas? Any other concerns that should be addressed? I've read some very enthusiastic news from owners who are very happy with their cars, and hopefully, I look forward to joining the group!
Much thanks for your time and efforts,
Monty Burns

The maitenance is basically the mait. of a Mercedes you could say. ~80$ oil changes, expensive tires, etc. Yes it does use premium gas.
Are you looking for just a weekend cruiser or what? Auto or 6spd? Roadster or Coupe?
There are some many GREAT deals on an SRT-6.. you may think you might not need the extra power, but after owning a Limited Coupe, I definitely wish I had an SRT-6..(plus they are a lot more rare!)
If you're into modding your car heavily, this won't be the right one for you. There is virtually no aftermarket support (besides a few chrome accessories )..and anything else is extremely expensive. (10k for a kleeman supercharger kit)
All in all, the price you can pay now for this car is a steal and a half for what you're getting. I think the only thing i found that is stamped chrysler so far on my car is the key fob and the emblems outside the car.. everything else is stamped Mercedes. (Including the engine to the wire harnesses for the radio)
