What are you doing with the wing on the SRT, removing it and 'shaving'?

Installing lowering springs?

I like the plate by the way...good idea!

I tried RGASM but the State wouldn't give it to me. Said it was to controversial. Instead, they had just come out with a new plate to "Support Our Troops" and I got the second one.

I noticed the rust residue as well - looks to be mostly superficial, but it's hard to tell from the pics.

I'm sure there is some water collected there after washing the car or driving in rain...and then the wing probably vibrates while driving thus rubbing the paint off the panels and allowing bare metal to come into contact with the water.

There were some scratches on the wing when I bought the car and they were driving me nuts so I took it to work to get it painted. I have been considering just shaving it and selling the spoiler though.

I pulled the rear end out of the car to get Phantom Grip LSD installed.

Yes that is rust on the hatch and it is from the metal studs that are part of the spoiler. It will be completely cleaned and I will treat the studs as to prevent any more rust.

Interesting. I need to remove my wing to polish out some hard water stains that were in the paint when I bought it.

How difficult is it to remove?

BTW, love the plate name!

Spoiler removal is easy if you have the tools.

1) open hatch
2) remove small round cap inside grab handle area on trim panel
3) remove the single T20 torx screw under cap
4) remove trim panel by giving a nice tug on handle or around edges with a thin plastic wedge
5) remove all 4 10mm nuts recessed into hatch
6) pull spoiler off car

*There are 4 small o-rings; one per bolt hole, that sit on the spoiler side of the hatch. Make sure these o-rings are seated properly and not damaged when re-installing spoiler as to prevent water leakage.

I believe I will have to lobby for "GW XFIRE". But, if you go a different direction, be sure to include XFIRE in some form.
