Re: hood scoop
Hi Jonny
Eventhough the others' opinions are leaning to the not so positive, the decision is still yours to make.
At least you have the pre_views and well prepared whats coming if you eventually decided to have the hood scooped.
As for me, I only have one in mind but won't be too helpful to you.
All the best yeah.

Re: hood scoop
I don't see any real reason for a hood scoop unless it's functional. +fireamx did a scoop on his car reminiscent of the old AMX muscle cars, but then he's an AMX lover AND he had the thing custom fabricated, not just something tacked on like the on the red Benz. If you feel you really need to do something like that, do it right or don't bother.
As for me, I'd never give up the design of the stock hood - I love it.

Re: hood scoop
I will agree that subtle is better. Also will agree with functional is the only way to go. If I had the ability to get a second hood, for a reasonable price I would have no issues cutting one up, while keeping the design and flavor of the stock hood with small intake vents much like the early viper hood intake. Of course it would be towards the bottom of the hood so that we could have a real cold air intake associated with it. But since I dont have the funds to custom make a hood then it will have to wait. lol

Re: hood scoop
johny now i know you havent gotten the best reviews on this, but i like the nostril look, but that one is just too small, it doesnt even look like it could possibly be functional. i think the main thing that hood scoop must do is look like it could at least be functional. my thought would bee the trans am scoop from the i think 01 transam the long nostrils. now on top of that im thinking you could potentionaly fab something like the intakes you already have, up to make this a truely funtional ram air scoop! id love to see a photo shop of that scoop on our cars! can anyone do it? just my thoughts, oh and it would eliminate the lines in the hood as well. once i saw hoodoos scoop in person i realized how much better the car looks without thoose lines, just slick and smooth!
