Tonight Show Host Buys Lithium-Ion Electric Crossfire
Re: Tonight Show Host Buys Lithium-Ion Electric Crossfire
I'm toying with convert a 2004 Crossfire to an EV. I've seen some CraigsList 2004 Crossfires for < $8K and yeah overall this isn't going to be cheap. I'm guessing $16K + car.
Performance wise, I'd be happy with a car that can hit 70 mph on the freeway and get to/from work 15 miles away.
Any idea on how much the 2004 engine weighs by itself?
Lithium cells are the way to go but it really raises the price.
Thoughts?
Another possible car is the Porsche 914 (weighs a LOT less) but heck, I don't really want a car from 1975. I want airbags, etc.
Thanks,
Mark
