Good news. Just got the call. They've added the springs and shocks. They told me it dropped an 1" in front, but only a 1/4" in back. R170 springs???? I don't know. I'm going to check it out. They also said it's a good ride on smooth surfaces, but rough on bumps.

If I remember correctly, the Eibach site gave different drop numbers. ???

Unfortunately the two other guys who took a "before" ride (the svc mgr and the"boss" arent' there to try it). I'll be trying it out in a 1/2 hour or so. I'll post again as soon as I get a chance.

I assume that the 4 or 5 of us that originally called are still on Anthony's list?

You wait till tommorrow or two days from the next for the full report. You have not seen anything yet. My eibach kit did the same thing and then droped like a mother. I can not wait to see how these springs look with my new renntech monolite rims. Yes i talked to anthony we are all on the list.

OK. I went and checked it out and took a ride. (Remember I purchased the shocks and springs) It is definitely softer on the small bumps. Still hard on the big ones but not as jarring. Before, if you pressed down on any of the four corners, it would hardly budge. Not the case any more, so nice improvement there.

It is dropped more in front than the back. The front fender is more or less level with the top of the tires in front, and not much change in the back. I do think it looks good nonetheless, but personally I'd prefer more balance between the front and back over the wheels. They took some measurements at the shop, but they seem off to me, so I will confirm tomorrow.

Went lock to lock several times. Nothing is rubbing, but it is lower towards the front, so the clearance could be an issue for some. The younger guys at the shop all seemed to think it looks much better this way, but I expect that I'll sell these springs and install the ProKit Eibachs so the drop is more balanced and more level. If anyone is interested, I'll split the difference with you since I'm keeping the shocks (They were $295, so $147.50 plus shipping)

I should be able to post some before and after photos tonight. If you're concerned about the rake, or the drop, etc., check the photos tonight.

Eric

Looking forward to pictures and to see if the rear settles any in the next day or so, but it sounds promising at this stage. Thanks for all the feedback, Eric.

Eric I hate to be this guy but you can pick up the springs for $115 with $20 dollars shipping straight from Brabus. If I were you I would just cut the stock spring or even the Brabus springs 1/4 of a coil. But wait a few days before you make any rash decisions it will go lower im sure of it.

You're absolutely right Jonny. My mistake in my haste to deal with this. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll sell 'em for $95 OBO plus shipping if someone on the forum can use them!

hm.. think they will work with my wheels in the front being 6mm more out? the offset is 29mm in the front on my wheels...

other than that i think it looks good in the front, but the back does need an inch drop

Hey Eric, any more feedback 24 hours later? Any settling of the ride height? Any further thoughts on ride quality and handling?

I'm itching to pull the trigger and get an appointment for installation at Brabus USA.

The back end has settled a bit, I'm guessing maybe 1/2 inch, but I've ordered in the Eibach ProKit (as opposed to the Eibach "sportline" that comes in the Brabus setup). Not quite as low, and a bit more cushion. Unfortunately I'm not quite that young anymore.

I've left the SRT-6 at the shop to do the new springs. I'll visit again tomorrow and take the camera and some measurements for those who are interested.

Note that I'll sell these Eibach sportline springs for $95 plus shipping, OBO.

I may be interested.
Did you take measurements from tire to fender before and after? If not, can you get measurements for the after now?
TIA.

I haven't set up an appointment yet. At this point I'm actually a bit concerned that the drop will be too extreme and the ride quality too diminished. Eric has been doing this on an SRT6 and I've got a Limited Roadster. His car is already a firmer ride than mine and if these make things even firmer, well, that may not be my favorite option.

Shox.com sells the Eibach ProKit springs for $248 with free shipping. How hard can it be to install the springs myself at home? But with those I'd like to know how the spring rate of those compares to the stock springs - in a nutshell, can the stock dampers control the rebound?

DO the eibachs it will be the best thing that ever happened to you. install is cake literally i came on here and read that it took some people like 6 hours I laughed out loud. The rear take about 20 min a piece including taking tires on and off. The fronts took about 30 min a piece all I needed was some ratchets and a pry bar. I bought a coil spring compressor and never had to touch it. The backs are simple there is only one way to do it once you get back there you will see. The fronts there are many ways to do it but all i did was drop the A arm and pried it out. The eibachs slip right in no need to do anything. I believe my Eibach kit lowered my car more in the rear then shown in Eric's pictures I will post the pictures of the car when I traded it in. Remember now those are 19s in the front and 20s in the rear. You can not beat this Brabus deal I dont think you have anything to worry about the eibachs are going to be the same if not more of a drop.

Eric post some more pics will you the same set up that mine are please. I would really appreciate it just so we can get the full idea. I looked at the one of your front end and it really scares me thats really low but I can not tell if it is from the camera angle or it really is that low.

Someone else took the after measurements - but they seem a bit off to me, soi I'm going to try to take them again.

In answer to your query (didn't know you could do "pages" on this forum - kind of cool) these are the Eibach "Sportline" springs that are OEM'd by Brabus that I have for sale at $95 plus shipping.
