Get back to us in 10 years when you have all of that debt paid off and are paying thousands per month in insurance to protect yourself from sue happy america.

Just one more question though, are you in MENSA or something that you're starting med school at age 18? We may have another doogie howser here and didn't know it!

ah yes, i remember those tremendously optimistic days of being young.
just keep in mind that you can always settle for a technical vocational 6 week certified online diploma for brain surgery assistant.

wow your 14.9 automatic beat all those?!?!?! dude i'm glad your e-***** are feeling bigger, but let us know when you have done something to your car, raced something worth talking about, and not be a complete idiot and do it on the streets.

Sorry if this offended anybody except the origional poster.

well i obviously want to do stuff to my car. i mean who doesnt. and you dont really offend me at all. i can take criticism. its stupid people like you that make me just strive harder for the things i want in life.haha i mean i bought my x fire. with my money and i pay for insurance. its under my dads so its cheaper but i pay him. my xfire will last me about another 7-9 years so i want to have the most fun with it possible. even if it means me getting beaten in a race by 20 cars. i just like seeing what the xfire can hold up against.

just remember when you wreck and need a arm sawed off ... it will be some guy that went to pre med and "stuff" before he became a doctor that gets to do it ... does that make you as nervous as it makes me ?

i can saddly say you've added to the idea that the medical profession just does not pull the same caliber as it used to along with my pre med friends ,,, but i highly agree with you, you only live once, especially when they are at the helm at the operating table.

so either live it up or wrap yourself in bubble wrap cause its a one shot deal out there

i love my crossfire ,,, with the magnaflow its one loud *** bucket. but am glad people do not try to drag me in it as it is one slow straight line car. former DSM, SRT-4, etc,etc owner ... but it sure is nice and kinda unique along with the couple thousand brothers it has.

you just reminded me its sitting in the garage ... gotta take it for a ride now.

I say let the kid go for it. If you have a chance to do something that you want to do in life...there is no better reward. Money is great, but how many of us wake up in the morning and can't wait to go to work? I know I don't. I hate the whole doctor deal, I hate Hospitals, and don't get me started on Insurance. But if this kid goes to school for 4 years, goes pre-Med, then ads in another 3-4 years as a resident at a hospital not making any money, and sticks it out. You the man! Had no idea what was involved until I sold a Charger R/T Daytona to a young surgeon. Its crazy what kind of commitment you have to put in, not to mention the cost of College.

As for you car being fast.... It is what it is, and its not that fast. Just be careful. A 100mph crash is still a 100mph crash, doesn't really matter how long it took you to get there. I'm only 30 so I'm not going to try to be your dad, but I can remember sliding around in my Fiero GT and Merkur XR4TI. I thought I was the Man! I drove those cars hard. Probably why I totalled them both and spent my Senior year in High School driving a Sh%t Brown $200 '74 Ford Torino while I still made my Fiero payment.

its simple. 4.0 and below is for regular classes, 5.04 is for honors classes, and a 6.08 is for AP courses.
and thanks todk64. at least someone understands. i mean personally money is not that much of an issue. i mean my college is all payed off because i got a full ride and on top of that there is no better reward then saving sumones life. i mean yea insurance is going to be high and all but im still debating on what i want to specialize in. and i have plenty of time to think about that. if a doctor made 70k a year instead of 210k a year (plastic surgeon sumthin i might look into) i would still do it for the fact that i coul save lives and/or help people that need it.

pre med n stuff?

Don't forget MCATs. Unless you're in a medical honors program (like Northwestern's HPME), that 30 ACT score is meaningless after your first day of college.

I see now, your still in high school.. that explains the higher than 4.0 gpa.. be careful with the street racing thing, I see high school kids in the paper every other week with their picture next to a knot of a car, and sometimes its someone else's car who was just driving along, minding their own business. I know you don't want to hear it but you probably still have the "can't happen to me" attitude. I guess I shouldnt be talking because I'm midway through my 3rd year of college, but I learned when I was racing my friend's slow impala in my slow caddy in high school and a couple of cops happened to be right next to us. $4,000 later in lawyer fees from 3 trips to court, my misdemeanor charges were reduced to speeding charges and my insurance is a couple hundred bucks a year higher. It also didnt help when a friend of a friend died in a street race. 100+ is too fast for the street with all that can go wrong, like a tire blowing out, an invisible pothole or the other idiot your racing losing control and hitting you or someone else. I sound like a grandpa, but you really have to be careful.
