Default New Guy

Hello folks, couldn't seem to find the "introduction" forum, so I figured here would be as good a place as any to introduce myself. I have a 2005 Limited, 6-speed, 5,500 miles. Currently waiting for winter to get it over with so I can get it back out!! I've got alot of "crap" from so called freinds and co-workers since I bought this car, I think it must be jealousy? One inpaticular person says "man, you can't haul anything in that, it's worthless" I reply, the only thing I'll be hauling is *** past you on the way to work. I enjoy everything automotive, I also have (2) 1979 Trans-Ams, and a 1984 Dodge 4x4 I'm trying to restore. Well, that's my .02 worth, I'll get some pics posted when I can, still figuring out the site. Thanks for taking the time to read my intro!!

Welcome!

Soooo many people don't realize the value of these great cars. A guy at my office drives a Sky and sort-of turned up his nose when I said I bought the SRT-6 roadster (my wife drives the coupe). Like you said, they are just jealous!

Turned up his nose? He drives a Saturn for God's sake. What could he be possibly thinking? I've had guys in custom hot rods, BMWs, and exotics come up and tell me how nice of a car I have.

Oh, to the new guy, welcome!

I agree but he has a lot more seniority than me and otherwise we get along great. Besides, when he bought his Shy the Xfires were beyond his budget. I just let him enjoy his ride as he knows mine is better. Some things are better left unsaid.

Welcome again Motor Head!

I was going to store mine for the winter but I just couldn't. It was calling to me from under its cover until I caved in. Now it's dirty and it's too friggin cold to wash it, but I don't care. In fact, me and the little lady are just about to hop in it to go driving. I love this car!

Hello MOTOR HEAD,
Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of neat features here. You have the "search" box which allows you to find out about anything you need to know about your Crossfire. You can upload photos into a gallery of your own which allows all the members to see your ride etc. You can also go into your "User Cp" and create a avatar with a photo which will show up next to your screen name in all your posts. And you can send PM"s (private messages") to other members by clicking on their screen name and selecting send a private message. Also "quick links" has a lot of features to. You might want to go there and edit your signature which allows you to attach info to your posts which will appear at the end of each post
See mine below...
lots of fun here and again welcome and enjoy your Crossfire.

Gary

There are really no benefits to membership. You only get a logo by your screen name and a few stickers in the mail.
It's not really a big deal. There have only been 20 threads ever posted there and nobody ever posts there anyway. It's sort of a dead spot on this forum.

Ya know, I kinda like the Sky and Solstice (don't think I would buy one), but if I had one, I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at a Crossfire driver.

Welcome to the forum. When I was looking for a roadster I looked at the sky and solstice. I just couldn't bring myself to go to them from my Cpe. I always have people give me a thumbs up in all sorts of sports cars.

I don't disagree. That's why I added the "wink"
However, I have had several questions about the XFI insignias on my windows.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!! I appreciate the generosity. Funny that alot was brought up about the Sky & the Solstice. I for one have never liked the Solstice , just too round looking everywhere. And the Sky I actually looked @ one during the auto show , but later on that evening I made my way past the Chrysler displays and had quickly forgotten about the Sky after I saw the Crossfire. I love Chrysler products , my winter/work beater is a 1991 Voyager with 167,000 miles on it , it has never let me down , and goes through snow that most 2wd trucks won't it's pretty funny! I did'nt even plow my driveway last year cause the Voyager would go right through it , & there was at least 1-1/2 feet of snow in my drive. Thanks again to everyone for the welcome , looking forward to sharing more stories / info along the way. Motor Head
