Default 1st gear popping

now i have driven two stick cars before i got my crossfire. none have gotten this problem before. every once in awhile i will be at a stop light and push it up into first then i start drivin and right when i get about a roll it pops out of first real hard that almost makes the car jult. i already took it one time to the chrysler dealer and they test drove it and said they found nothing. i am taking it back this weekend again because it is doing it more and maybe this time they will actually find out what is wrong. if anybody has any ideas i would like to know.

Are you sere it's all the way into first gear? I'm not trying to imply you don't know what you're doing.....I just know that mine has done that before, and it was because it wasn't fully engaged into first. I've found that when you just pull it out of a higher gear (4th or higher) and try to go into 1st ......it's a little sticky, almost like there's 2 detents in first gear.

I usually make sure to go into 2nd and then to 1st, sometimes it takes more than one try. If you go from 2nd to 1st a few times you'll find that it slips into 1st a little easier each time.

i would say i am 99 percent sure it is not that. at times it is also hard to get in to first and i have to put it in to second then throw it up in to first.

ahh yes, you must have a 2004 model, built in Nov or Dec of 2003. They just need to do the synchro update. been there done that!

to get the dealer do do the work, you must say it is intermitant maybe 1 out of 20 time it happens, then tell them you almost got in a car accident because it popped out of gear while making a turn. Ta da! that will make em jump for you!

WTF. i told them it only happened every once in awhile and showed him the TSB but they still want me to drive with the mechanic? this will be the second time it has been in the shop for this and the first time they drove it then told me they could do nothing. and ideas?

They are making you drive? Then start from a stop 1000 times until it happens.

they said "chrysler will not let us do it without knowing something is wrong" ugh. and they say they have a few certified mechanics and then this mechanic told me that there transmission people are better then the crossfire mechanics anyway. i was like mmm hmmmmm. so as the story goes i am sezrching for a better dealership.
