new and wanting to do performance mods.
I'm new to this forum, and new to the Crossfire also. I just bought my 2004 Crossfire Coupe 6spd Manual yesterday. I've been seeing Intake, exhaust, and engine chips, i was wondering if there was a retailer for them? Since i'm kind of new i can't seem to find any websites that sell this stuff. Any advice on what works the best, and where to get it would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats & Welcome to the Forum!!!!
Do a search this question is the primary question of all new owners. The Crossfire is not a tuning type car, there are very few "off the shelf" parts for our cars. If high performace and speed is what you need, then you should have bought an SRT6 Crossfire. Performance parts for the Limited and Base model Crossfires are few and expensive. Remember our cars are built on the old MB/SLK R170 platform. Depending on how much HP you are looking for, performance upgrades from Renntech, Startech, Brabus can run from $16K - $26K. Any other mods that are out there will give you minimal HP gains. If you were to change the exhaust and add a ECU chip upgrade you may gain 7 - 12 HP, and this is debatable. Most of the intakes that you see here on the forum are not "true" CAI's and are more cosmetic. The ECU chip upgrades are good, but few have been dyno tested on our cars. As mentioned do a search and prepare your self for a lot of reading

Welcome aboard! Nice choice of cars. You must have good taste.
Like CrossfireLTD said, there's not too many off the shelf mods for the non-SRT models. I know your JUST bought your Crossfire, but if you're interested in performance, you can get a GREAT deal on an SRT these days. And for the money spent, you'd get a LOT more performance than if you tried to supe up your base model, and save yourself a lot of trouble.
As far as non-performance parts go, you can get chrome trim for the wind shield, door handles, door mirrors, and side strakes. You can also score a rear defuser to give your rear fascia a make-over. Of course, I don't need to mention new rims. That's about all I've seen that is right off the shelf.
Check out www.tvtdesign .com for some of that stuff I mentioned.

Hi guy,
Don't get too wrapped up in a quest for horsepower. These motors aren't the most supported platform and Mercedes choice of electronics (MAF & various monitoring systems) have greatly limited any potential for easy modification. You would do better to focus on handling and appreciate the car's amazing mid RPM torque. Maybe spice up the exhaust note and drop it a conservative 1.25" to complete the image.
And ignore the typical "8 hp gains" from things like intakes and underdrive pulleys. There are cars that gain 20hp when the sun goes down (like my turbo dodge), the NA crossfire's intake is about as COLD as you can get it (right at the nose) and 8hp isn't worth the time it takes to swap the pulleys... not to mention the reduction in power to your interior accessories.
ECU upgrades seem like more worthwhile mods if you don't have to worry about voiding a warranty.
... Then again if you don't have a warranty, I'd be saving every last penny for when the German engineering wet dream turns into a maintenance nightmare.
Good luck and happy motoring.

Hello,
Welcome to the community! This is a great car to have and our company aims at providing as many performance enhancements for this car as possible. We have an Intake out and ready for sale on our website along with Sprint Booster, exterior parts, and thermostats.
We are in the process of working on an exhaust and a few other surprises...
Check out our site www.tvtdesign.com and PM me with any questions.
Thank you,
