Mercedes Keys and Fob?
Re: Mercedes Keys and Fob?
No, but you CAN buy a Chrysler one from the dealer and pull off the Chrysler logo, and low and behold, under the stick-on Chrysler logo is the Mercedes logo imbedded in the fob!
Also, just to save you some time and effort, don't bother buying used key fobs on ebay. You can't program them to work with your Crossfire. You _MIGHT_ be able to program it to lock/unlock the doors, but it will NEVER start your car. Don't waste your money on ebay fobs. Just call around to dealers in your area and get prices on new keys.
Some may try to charge you $200 plus a fee to program it. You shouldn't have to pay more than $125 for a new fob from a dealer, and if they have any customer service at all they will program it for you for free. If they won't just follow the instructions in your car's user manual for programming it. It takes about 30 seconds. It will work because it was made specifically for your car (VIN number and all) - unlike the ones on ebay.

Is the Mercedes star painted silver underneath? Or would one from a Mercedes dealer look or be colored differently?
In other words, has anyone done this? Does it look good?
