Hi everyone...
Hi everyone...
I'm from belgium and 20 years old, now after some serious hard working I want to tread myself with a new (sport) car...
But, making the choise of witch car I need to buy is very hard.
In belgium, the crossfire's are so cheap...I don't trust it to buy one, because I'm scared of getting to much trouble with it. Some of you now some facts why they could turn up so cheap here? A new one costs like more then the double of an second hand one (with almost no miles on it).
Now I'm really in a hard decision, Should I go for the Crossfire or for a Porsche 964? The porsche gets my attention more, because I love that car. But I find the crossfire also very Sexy!! And payable etc.
Hope you can help me with some information about the crossfire his good and bad things. Maybe about problems that come back with alot of crossfire's...maybe that's why they are so cheap...
Thanks,
Jo

Re: Hi everyone...
You need to see what kind of dealership you have in your area. If they don't know how to fix a crossfire then it could be a very painful experiance for you. These cars are great when they run good but a pain if they break. If there is more Porsche clubs and dealers I would go with them.
Re: Hi everyone...
Welcome to the forum California! Please ignore the cold response. The Crossfire is sort of the ******* child of Mercedes Benz and Chrysler. It is so cheap because it was never marketed well and people think it's a crappy Dodge Neon in fancy clothes, which of course, it is not. It has all the mechanical bits of a Mercedes SLK 320... in fancy clothes. Most of us are glad that it's not well known. The reactions that you get driving one are priceless.
I hope that helps you some. And come back and visit us and let us know what you decide!
Edit: Thank you whoever deleted the less friendly answers I was alluding to.

Re: Hi everyone...
Take advantage of the once in a lifetime deal. The Crossfire is a great personal car. I bought one in July '06 and a second one in Aug '07. I've been fortunate and have had absolutlely no problems after nearly 20,000 miles on the first and 3,000 miles on the second. I wish I could afford a third as a second spare.
