I always liked white cars with red interiors, so cedar was close enough. I think black cars look great with it too, but I simply don't have the energy it takes to keep a black car looking good. ( But I'm glad there are a few here on the forum that do).
I understand completely on the cedar/slate interior. I wanted a red car with the cedar/slate interior but learned none were made. So I toyed with a black, sapphire, gray or white car just so I could have that great interior combination. It also seemed that most of the cars I ran across with the cedar interior were 6 speeds and I wanted the auto. trans.

In the end my attraction to red was too great and so that is the color I went with in both of my XFires. However, I do have a beautiful 1988 Cadillac Allante roadster in a pearl white with a two tone red/burgandy interior. I used to have a 1993 Miata Limited Edition in black with a red interior (the only Miata ever made by Mazda with a red leather interior). It was a good looking car because the red interior made the car.

Sort of leaves you speechless, doesn't it? Definitely a lack of good automotive genes...
