Default Speeding Crossfire

Pulled over a girl going though Knoxville in a crossfire doing 105 mph. Found out she was sober and told her to slow down and have a safe night.
I'm such a nice guy !

As long as your not drunk or driving like an idiot, I'm not gonna give you a ticket. 105 is exteme, but her attitude made the difference. ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING !

Hell, I wish all cops were like you. When I had the Rubicon, a PA cop gave me a ticket for doing 70 in a 45. I didn't give him an attitude or anything, I know police get such a bad rap just for doing their job. Oh well. $242.50 later I'm glad I didn't have the Crossfire @ that time. Speeding ticket in a Jeep, almost an oxymoron.

Any tips on what we should do or say if we've ever accidentally speeding and happen to get caught?

No, you're an idiot!!! Plain and simple, you failed to do the job for which you are being paid... which is to protect and
serve by upholding the law (something you took an oath and swore to do). No one has any business doing 105 MPH on a
public road, especially going through town. At the very least she should of received a ticket for a reduced speed. And
yes, it was EXTREME speeding, which BTW is a felony. I have several friends that are officers and none of them would think
of letting her walk. Your actions reflect very poorly on your worth as a police officer, if in fact you truely are...

The officer used "discretion", they are given that option.

Take a pill bro, regardless of how you feel about it you don't need to call the guy an idiot.

Wow ben47 - your comments are so out of line they don't even deserve a response. Go away and exercise your free speech somewhere else.

Next time YOUR going though knoxville I would be glad to give you a ticket. Some departments have quotas, ours does not. I also have what is called "officer discretion". I've been called worse than an "idiot", so I'm not offened at your ignorance. By the way, when do you go to the police academy? Or are you just going to tell me how to do my job from your armchair ?

As for nox1s, just be polite and respectful. Its not always going to work, but its your best bet. STAY SAFE.

I think it has something to do with the misalignment of the planets or something.

What about offering the officer the keys as he/she walks up to the car and asking "Want to take her for a spin?"

speeding tickets 90% of the time are just a way to pad the local gov budget ... not like she was weaving or drunk.

Well, if everyone think it's okay for someone to go roaring through town at 105 MPH, I guess I'm off in a different world.
I wonder if the person was an older, overweight, haggy looking women missing two front teeth and driving a pickup truck,
if he would of let her walk?

I'm sorry, but i just can't see 'anyone' being allowed to go ripping through town at that speed...

105 in a pickup, Very unsafe. I drive a pickup and I would not even dream of going that fast in it. Pickups are not made for that kind of driving, Crossfire's are. I have had mine well over 105 and it's stable as a rock. BTW: I drive a truck for a living and have close to 2 million miles safe driving. I have spent a lot of time on the highways and byways of america. I have GREAT respect for the law officers that protect us all. Who are you to judge this officer ? You were not there. I am sure that he is a good judge of people, You kind of have to be to last as a law officer.

You should to say your sorry.
Just my 2 cents.

I personally believe those that talk on cell phones while driving followed by
drivers who fail to signal and cut in front of you followed by tailgaters pose
a greater risk and threat to public safety than those that speed.
