I've had mine since July and most of the repairs I've made were due to the previous owner, or someone test driving it at the dealership, not taking care of it. It's a 2004, 48,000 miles, no warranty left. Fixed/Replaced: splash guard, transmission leak, new tires, new wheels. And had to touch-up some of the paint. But no real mechanical problems. If I'd been the first owner, it wouldn't have had so many problems.

Approx 7,000 miles. driven every day since I bought it in July or 05.
Had the fan recall done.
Had a rear hatch lock problem, one of the lines broke.
other than that.
I will be having the seat warmers looked at this spring just before the car goes out of warranty other wise NOW everything has been fine.

Mine has just under 18,000 miles of which it had 8,600 miles when I bought it used. I had the Navigation system replaced under warranty for a faded screen. Replaced the Contis with Yokohama ADVAN S.4. at 15,000 miles. Two oil changes. That's it.

19,000 miles...

-Butt Warmer guit
-Delaminated Headlights
-AC Control Unit
-Glove Box Light Switch
-Moody Locks(sometimes unlocked with Driver's door, sometimes not)
-Peeling Clear Coat on 2 wheels
-Wind Noise around Driver's Window

No mechanical problems at all. Seems to be Bullet Proof under the hood, just delicate on the interior.

They completely replaced the seats from the leather to the track? I thought they would just put in a new heating element. My Backrest stil works, but the bottom cushion quit a few weeks ago. Now that it's getting cold, I really want that repaired. If they replace the entire seat, I'm cool with that. Quicker, Easier, New Leather with no wear.

Yes....both seats were replaced entirely under warranty. The drivers side bottom and back were not working, also the passenger side top was not working. The Service Manager (Lawrence Chrysler Jeep) said that his XFire Tech was not an upholsterer and that there would be a color difference since I have the "Cool Vanilla" interior.....so he replaced the seats entirely. The Service Manager stated that the car came with a two tone interior, not a three tone interior. The installation of the seats was done at an outside upholstery shop. The owner of the dealership said that he would get the money out of Chrysler one way or another. I have been extremely lucky with service on my Roadster Limited.

11,030 miles on my 2005 roadster of which I put just over 1200 since getting the car on Oct. 11. Only problem so far is that the interior light switch that's supposed to have the dome light fade out doesn't seem to be working. It's either on or off so there's no light when I open the door. Will eventually take it in but the in service date on my car was 10/27/06 so I still have two years on the bumper to bumper warranty.

'04 limited, six speed. 60,000 kms
  • hood wouldn't open took 3 visits to fix, just needed a shim on the latch but they replaced the whole mech. whatever?
  • right rear interior panel falling down 3 visits to get right, they ordered a new panel, when that didn't fix it they 3M taped it up!
  • 1-2 shift looked at 3 times (dealer say's no problem) I say I should be able to shift from 1-2 when the car is cold, 1-3 untill it warms up, think old ferrari 308
  • knocking noise in steering box with play, (looked at twice but now its gotten so bad they'll have to do something) I F&%king hope anyway.
  • Seat heater just quite on the driver side
  • the radio does really wierd stuff when its really cold outside, seems to go away.
Not the car's fault but I'm a little pissed that the car lost 25% of its value in the year that I've owned it. At least I didn't buy it new becuase then I'd be really pissed!!!

But, I like the car still...

2004 Limited 19500 miles no issues! (Knock on wood) A little paint chipping on front bumper and hood from road wear, but I'm not that picky. Maybe I'll have the bumper repainted or replaced with an SRT model down the road!

Question Re: Problems so far...

Not to deviate from the topic here, but I just joined this forum and have been lurking for a while reading the posts. I bought a 2004 Crossfire couple limited. Car has 37,000 miles on it. I called a local Chrysler dealer where I just had the oil changed and asked if I had to do anything to transfer the 7/70,000 powertrain warranty and they said I didn't. They said that if I had any problems with the powertrain, I'd be covered.....no cost to transfer the warranty.....does that sound right? Did the guy know what he was talking about?

Love the car!!!

Thanks
Mac

Smile Re: Problems so far...

Thanks for the info.

Just spoke to the Chrysler dealer again, but spoke to a different guy. He pulled up my VIN in the system and said that the 7/70 powertrain warranty goes to the new owner automatically at no cost IF the build date is Prior to October 1, 2003. I ran out to my car and the build date shows 09/03'. Looks like I'm in good shape.

Thanks for the help. This is a great site.

Mac
