is this your car? how was it?!
is this your car? how was it?!
I'm looking for a crossfire on the east coast and I came across this '05 with the aftermarket center caps that somebody on this forum makes/sells... I also noticed the a/m headunit that people have mentioned on this forum. I was thinking about going to look at it so I was just wondering if somebody on this forum owned/knows of this car and can let me know what kind condition (for real) this car is in... thanks a lot!

btw, I have nothing to do with brad benson auto group and I am not in any way trying to advertise this car.

Re: is this your car? how was it?!
I bought a new 2006 base coupe in Aug. 2007 and only paid $18,800. Buying new qualified it for the lifetime powertrain warranty. So $19,500 for a used 2005 is not that great of a deal. In fact the dealer I bought my new 2006 from just received new 2007s and they are only $19,300 for the base coupe. The dealer is Hillview Chrysler - Greensburgh PA.
Good luck.
If nothing else, use Hillview's published internet pricing to cut you a better deal.

Re: is this your car? how was it?!
A few other notes about this car.
It appears to be a base model, but the base seats (see moveable headrest and adjustment ****) have been re-upolstered in leather. IMO, a pretty good job and a nice upgrade.
Also note that Benson's stock photo section is from a limited. The stock photos contain features that the base coupe does not have. Hopefully, you will be inspecting the car closely in person. Chrysler's website can alert you to the differences between a base coupe and a limited.

Hey, With almost 18M miles, Don't pay more than $15,000 for it & that may be too high.
(I bet they took it in for under $15,000, if not, they paid too much).
Get a New one for $18,XXX or 19,XXX, IMHO.

Looks to be "Porterhouse" 's car. I remember by the SLK seats.

Time to say goodbye to my Xfire. - 09-10-2007 , 05:43 PM
Hello All.
I just traded in my '05 Crossfire base coupe for a Hyundai Azera LTD (very reasonable price). My trusty old Avalon was going down hill and I needed something with more room. I am so sad to let the Crossfire go but surprisingly, Azera is a pretty cool car (for an old BOY like me). I know it is not the same as Crossfire. LOL. I just wanted to thank all of you for sharing good info and helping each other out. I've learned so much about our cars and much laughter as well (remember the blind date thread??). Like most former owners, I'll be stopping by time to time to see what is going on.
If anyone is interested, the dealer offered my '05 base coupe with 16,500 miles at Whopping $13,000. That is what NADA book value calls for. Isn't that crazy? I managed to get $15,000 for it. I think Honda Civic with that much mileage has higher NADA value. Unbelievable what Daimler/Chrysler did to the resale value...
I looked up the Azera forum and they get about one to two posts a day. Total.
I'll miss the discussions and enthusiasm and energy of this forum.
I did manage to pull out Pioneer ipod adapter and a pioneer sirius adapter for Pioneer head unit. If anyone is interested, PM me. I also have Polk/Momo 12 inch sub in plexiglas enclosure for sale as well. I will not ship the sub so if you are interested and in central NJ PM me. I also have Chrysler locking nuts for sale as well.
Thanks all. (I tried to list everyone's handle but it won't let me go over 10,000 characters).
