The BA$TARD

He didn't even bother to try out an SRT6 which, by the way, beat out his beloved Porsche Boxter S as well as the Nismo 350Z in this Road & Track article:
http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....rticle_id=1985

Perhaps Jeremy should try an SRT.

I've always enjoyed "Top Gear", but right now I'd love to see a photoshop of a dog squatting to do a #2 on his head.
Watch the whole video and by the end they admit that the Crossfire is the best looking car and the most comfortable to drive. Even Jeremy changed his mind on the looks of the Crossfire and said it was a bargain for the price compared to the 350Z and the TT.

O.K. Guys, I got tired of people calling my Crossfire a girlie car and did a mod that was so easy I wonder why no one else came up with it. It only took me about 10 minutes to do. It worked for me and it can for you too.

Al you need is:

A coathanger
Anti Squeal lube
Any style or color mod from this website, I chose black to match my car.
http://www.thatsnutz.com/truck-nuts-c-65.html

With the coathanger all you need to do is hang the N**Z from the bottom rear end of your Crossfire. It's just that easy. It removes all notions that the car could possibly be a "Girlie Car".

But wait chuck65 I hear you say, what is the Anti Squeal lube for? Well I'll tell ya.

Just after the installation, I was backing into a parking place and applied the brakes and heard a loud squeal. No it wasn't the Rotex Gold that I just installed last Friday. I had backed in and hit my N**Z on the curb behind my car. Lucky for me I had some Anti Squeal lube left over from my Rotex project. I sprayed my N**Z with it and let it set up overnight and haven't had a problem since.

I will not provide pictures as I think our moderator/censor guys might frown on it. Use your imagination.

I just watched that episode - it was comparing the roadsters, and Jeremy does admit that overall he likes the Crossfire best of the three, and there is also a reference to a previous episode where he 'dumps' on the coupe.

Still wish they would try an SRT - it would be a more proper comparison.

Thread Hijack!!

It's not in that video, but it is in the video where they compare the 350z roadster, tt roadster, and Xfire roadster. They still think it's rubbish though. I wish these a-holes would have driven an SRT.

They are right about the quality of some of the interior panels though. Those guys just hate any car that is associated with the U.S. including ours which are 90% Mercedes. I do think that American car companies do care more about making profits than they do about making quality cars. With our technology, why can't we build a modern V8 besides the Northstar? Why don't the big 3 make cars that use better materials? It's all about getting away with the least amount of car for the maximum amount of money. That is why Detroit is losing.

Modern v8?! What about LSx's.. although they still are based on the same chevy small block they are some of the best v8s around. My problem with the northstar (my last car was a 98 eldorado) is they are mostly FWD, and boo to that.

The newer Hemis are not bad at all. A friend of mine has one in her 300 and she would get 25-28MPG on the highway with it due to it shutting down cylinders during crusing speeds.

Back to the original question...

Maybe these questions will help answer:

Who buys Mustang converts with 6 cylinders? For that matter who buys ANY "cute" car with a small, (low powered) engine, for the primary reason that it is "cute"? Do "Sporty" car and "Sports" car mean the same thing? Is the NA Crossfire a Sports car or a Sporty car? Why is it important to SRT6 owners that their cars be identified as such? I'll answer this one...Because FAST "cute" cars have a waiver that makes them slightly more manly.

I'm happy to own one anyway, but noticed I enjoy shaving my legs now.

The first time I drove my Crossfire on a date, she said "Your car is so cute!" I haven't asked her back out.

I still have people come up to me at gas stations and asking what kind of car it is that i'm driving. you should ask the guy if he is so cool, then why didn't he buy G35?
The questions at the pump are cool .. what beats that is when the car behind you is craining their neck and squinting their eyes to read Andrew's badge trying to figure out what kind of car it is. And when you're sitting with the seat reclined, sunglasses on, window down ... you pass a woman that's walking with her man, he looks ahead and she turns her head as you pass ... hmmmmmmmmm ... if my XF is 'girly' ... so be it !

Maybe it's already been said before (I'm not going thru the last 89 posts to find out) But if the Crossfire is in fact a "Girlie" car, then that's just the way it is. But who ever said that the Women get to have all the fun?

I for one like my car identified as an SRT6 because of the fact that it is a rare car. It's one of only 2016! It's an exclusivity thing. I want people to wonder what that badge may mean. Also, it is more exclusive and can blow the doors off of most cars on the road.

I believe the Crossfire is a sports car because it's small, light, has two seats, and can handle well. If it had a back seat, I'd say it was a GT or a sporty car.

Sure it's ovious. Your dealing with a homofobic "Z"boholic. There common. They are the ones that take a double take at a Crossfire and wonder why the hell they bought A "Z" in the first place.
This car has no defining sex. It's just SEXY! Anyone, male or female looks good in this car, even if you didn't look good before you had it.

You are smack in the middle of a pissin contest between Crossfire lovers and Z lovers--a common topic on here. Normally you like only one or the other. Plus, Z owners tend to dog Crossfires and this is a Crossfire forum. Most of us agree that we prefer the look, feel, and ride of the Crossfire when compared the Z. I drove both, among other things, before I bought. I have nothing against Z owners, I just don't personally care for the car. But you have the best of both worlds! Enjoy both and don't let the comments bother you on here.

I have owned a total of 5 Z cars over the years! They are great cars, but after driving the crossfire I thought it was a great car as well, and bought one. It was a steal 2004 25K miles for only 14,343 + tax and warranty.
