Yes I am definately going to have these made again. I am sure there are a bunch of new members that would like them.

Can't wait to be back in the CF. She is on her way up from Florida where she has been living a leisurely life being driven by some retires from Canada.
Cant wait to meet her.

The part that would hurt me the most would be hearing the words that the car will be sent to an auction, makes me feel bad for a car to go to an auction

I think you may recognize the wheels on the car behind mine as well

Who's roadster is that? I would like to see some more pics of that one.

That would be mine. Plenty of pics in my gallery.

This was owned by BoilerUpXFire (John)
It sadly was totaled at a Crossfire event in the mountains.
Only minor injuries were sustained by John

He has since bought and modded another one that is even more beautiful

Well, no. NO Crossfire is more beautiful than John's Blacked-out Base Coupe. That car was so good, it made me see how blacking out a car COULD make it better - never liked a blacked out car till that one came along.

His current car is AS beautiful - but no Crossfire will ever beat John's original creation. I loved that car. And I never even rode in it.

No disrespect for his current car intended and a limited is always nicer. And John has done so much to that car (no surprise there), but the Black one was epic.

I'd never cared for blacked-out cars before. But John changed my thinking with his Base Coupe.

John's beauty was not a roadster, but a coupe...

I noticed that, too.

But I preferred to argue about which of John's cars made the most impression on me....

Say it ain't so, FP

I was glad, when it hit that creek bed on its roof that the roof was made of metal and not fabric, don't think I would be here today if it had been

I must say that your blacked out CF was stunning. And those wheels, love them. Shame you did not get to take any parts off of it. I would have tried to follow the salvage auctions and try to buy it back. You probably did try.

Thank you, it was not my typical build, but the parts and car came together pretty nicely. I also feel like pictures can not do either of the cars justice, but I am partial

It was a shame, and having to sue my insurance agent was no field day either, but having several lawyers in the family turned that into a several thousand dollar positive note. I thought long and hard about buying it back, for nothing other than the one off parts either myself or friends had made, but being 8 hours from my place, it was difficult logistically to handle. On top of that, the entire interior was water logged, so not much parting out there, and water/mud plus electronics did not sit well with my either (and I really wanted to get rid of black, because it was a DD at the time). It all happens for a reason, just glad it worked out in the end...

That's something I've been wanting to do. There's a place in California where Crossfirefrank had his done. Check with him.

I have not tried these, but I believe Rudy told me that while they bolt right on, there is a fit issue with the plastic cover behind the seats.
