The button that disables the power window buttons is 6" from the power window buttons. Not exactly child-proof! I bet they could have put that button to better use...
I can't disagree with a lot of what's been said in this thread, but this car really is a special blend of pretty, quality, performance, uniqueness, and value.

Re: Bad Things about the xfire
Did someone mention that the door has to be open to get in or get out of the car? No, don't laugh, I mean open, really open ..... ALL the way open and if some jerk parks to close to you, and you can't get the door open ALL the way, you have to do an imitation of a fat lady getting into a girddle.
Re: Bad Things about the xfire
The only bad thing about the Crossfire I have found is that there are so damn few around here that There is no local club chapter. No meetings, no tech sessions no spare part sales. I have all that with MG, Sunbeam, Mini and bikes. perhaps some day. Till then the Dragon. Gary

The bad:
-No AUX jack for a luxury car of 2005, seriously! Ford Focus had them standard in their models.
-Its not the concept. So no 1-wiper(prob a good thing), didn't retain the stacked headlights angled like a Morgan, and no allusion of a split rear window.
-Since mine was bought used I see some wear like the gray color coming off of the plastic area near the buckle clip/ side console. I mean why couldn't it have been molded grey plastic to begin with? Isn't it cheaper than black plastic painted a cheap looking grey?
-No psudo-rear seats like in the Lexus SC, Audi TT, and other small sports cars allowing for "in a pinch" passenger seating. I mean in the coupes, that huge rear hatch area could fit a 3rd seat. Albiet it would be at the cost of cargo room but who cares, you could still put groceries on that 3rd seat.

Sorry but on this point I couldn't disagree more.

The Summer cars are the Crossfire and Miata. So in size comparison to the Miata the X-fire is large enough to house a seat. Hell, sometimes I wish the Mia had one of those psudo-seats.

Re: Bad Things about the xfire
You all complain too much I just traded mine on a car with - no heater-ac, no top, no power seats, very few buttons, no navigation, it's even harder than the Crossfire to get in an out of not to mention its very easy to get your leg burned on the exhaust pipe, dont even have windshield wipers, like the Crossfire no spare, no power windows (it only has a front window), lots of room for a cup holder but it doesn't have one I could go on but the bottom line is none of this matters if you have one of the coolest cars on the street and that my friends is what each of you has. Mine's just a little louder than yours!
Re: Bad Things about the xfire
I can't say that I have any complaints, sure the sound system could be better, but I can change that. Maybe the fog light lenses break easily, but they're cheap and easy to replace. Most of the complaints are either nonpoints or things that can be easily worked around or fixed. Sure maybe that isn't the way most people like to do things, but I'm all for making a car your own, hell if the gauges are so hated, get some different gauges. I personally like mind and have had a blast driving the car, eventually after I pay it off I'll do some performance upgrades or maybe a supercharged v8 conversion but for now the car is great and I love it. No real complaints just enjoying the stares and compliments and the fun of driving and being able to beat most of the other drivers around here in a race. Well I guess one complaint is that I have to think about dumping the gf for some of the ladies that want to go for a spin with me. And who knows maybe a few things will begin to irk me after I've had it longer, but I have my doubts that any of it can't be easily fixed.
