If this doesn't work, disconnect your neg. battery cable for 20 minutes. This will re-set the parameters in the drive-by-wire... Unfortunately it will delete your pre-set radio stations, clock etc. as well...
While I was running down the problem with my air re-circulation flapper door, I had the radio out of the car for several days. I was very surprised to find the pre-sets were still there when I finally put everything back together!

I have to agree with HDDP!!! The throttle response is not nearly as maddening as a 200+ hp car that won't do a decent burnout because of the damn traction control!!! On the flip side of the coin ...it's still pretty sweet being able to dump the clutch and hook up and pull out of the hole like the x-fire does with the t/c switched off!

What's the deal. This is the second personal attack I have read from a moderator in the last 10 minutes. Both from the same person... The other attack was on Maxwell.

This was a joke to the member I posted to and I do believe he understood it completely... notice the SMILEYS... IT actually was mocking another SENIOR member who has routinely made posts like this...

"post a link, I'm not interested in searching the net."

Re: name your top 3 pet peeves
"1. people who bring up old topics on the forum with out doing a search and reposting there."

Re: Adding a turbo to my Xf
"nothin' fresh about this thread, the topic has been beaten to death here. TRY A SEARCH!!! "

"This is no joke, unless you are too stupid to see **** hit the fan!"

If you notice, I posted the response to his question in the next post... I think your concern is misdirected...

Other members may not take it as a joke.

Most of us that have been around for a while understood it for what it was. And trying to speak for all the other members will get you blasted quicker than anything. I personally accepted the smiley for what it was.

Your join date is relatively new, and it takes awhile to get the an idea where these alot of these guys are coming from, who they are talking too, and what was meant (always look for the Emotion cons).

So before you go passing judgment, just take a deep breath and review all the forums to get a feel of place. Keep in mind allot of these guys are pretty tight, and have had personnel correspondence and relationships throughout the life span of the CrossFire. So what you may see; is very often is another enthusiast raging on another.

However, allot of these people really know their stuff, and have little time for people that are lazy or just don't understand the points and information that is being delivered to them.

Hell, I joined in 2006 (almost a year) and I'm still a newbie!

HDDP... Forgive me interceding, but I thought that maybe one newbie to another newbie could explain what may be quite evident to some, may not be clear to others that are new!

Exactly. Let's take a deep breath here. HDDP is an asset to this forum and has a great wit to boot. And using the search function is a great way to retrieve information, including stuff you didn't even know you didn't know...

Hey no problem! Us newbies have to stick together!

By the way; Welcome Aboard!

You find that getting the information you require is sometime a laborious task (so much info. to sort through), but usually worth it.

Take some time to go through the threads, you'll see very quickly who is trying to discern fact from fiction, and who is just spreading manure!

And watch out for the tricksters... They just love to have fun, anytime they are on-line!

Alright guys... This thread should be put to bed, don't you think ?

I'm still a NEWBIE with this car as well... There are a dozen things I need to figure out and research, even after a few years of relentless pursuit... I hope we can start getting answers, instead of the other stuff... That being said... Who wants to get the T/C software to turn off and share the process ?

I would suggest that you start a new Forum, and let's go from there.
