Xfire Date
Re: Xfire Date
Hehe i'm very interesting actually. I play lead guitar for over 10 years, i've picked up many hobbies over the years like woodworking, horticulture (hydro), breeding animals, rifle target practice, motorcycle riding (too dangerous, gave up). And on top of that im a chef, own a house and live with my dog. I'm the perfect bachelor but apparently i'm not broadcasting myself good enough. I'm going to make it a point to get to some classy bars like you recommended. If I go by myself, i'll bring some reading material and wait for my prey to come to me.

Arcrist - I found that buying clothes is a good way to meet women - either the sales ladies or other women in the store...you just ask for their opinions or ask them to 'dress' you and go from there-usually it opens up a line of conversation, and a lot of ladies like to help those of us that are 'fashionably - limited' - just like we would help a lady on the side of the road with car trouble!
However, I would argue the fancy dress thing - dress in what you feel is comfortable - not trashy, but when you look in the mirror you say to yourself "I look pretty good!" That is the confidence that will shine, and it won't put you into a situation that you feel like you are wearing a costume to pick up girls! I have been playing drums in a hard rock band for 14 years, and I know the stereotypes that come with the territory - I ended up meeting my wife during work just being myself, and she was someone I would have never perused in a dating situation (has piercing, tattoos, someone I would not have taken for 'face' value, but turns out is very intellectual and a perfect 'fit') - I didn't show her any of my 'toys' 'till the 3rd or 4th date (kinda kept the surprises coming!)...it seems the harder you look, the worse off you are, and then when you aren't looking, it happens, and you realize that you don't have to act like someone you aren't to meet ladies! Just get out and have fun, be casual, and CONVERSATE with the intent of meeting someone as friends-that way there is no pressure to perform or get shot down (which will also help with confidence)!
Good Luck, Keep it up, and keep the rest of us in the info loop, too!!
