Wear whatever you want, dressing well always helps, but hey to each his own. I would suggest Orchids though.

If you don't feel comfortable in a collared shirt try putting a white or black t-shirt on under it. Much more comfortable and layering looks better. Also if you are going to buy flowers make sure you stick with a color she likes. Also a lot of what you wear depends on where you are going.

To Tuck or Not to Tuck, that is the question.

Can't tell you the number of times I stopped by Macy's because of a last minute "date" (things just worked out in conversation) and grabbed a nice outfit in the "let's change the season" clearance isle (usually for the season we are in. Have one of the store ladies tell you what works together if you find pants or a shirt you like. Clean (polished) shoes are a must.

You'll impress the heck out of her with you and the car (it is great when they want to "earn" you).

PS - tell us how close the photo matches her!!

I know! Ill arrive at her house (she lives with her mom) with the collared shirt on. Then when we get down the road, Ill ask her if I made a good impression. If yes, then ill take the collard shirt off and have the black "metallica" like shirt underneath.

Edit: Kidding.

For the love of god don't tuck.

Also, try to find a polo that isn't so big on you and that is monotone (a bright color is best).

while i agree with the collared shirt thing, i think play to what you're comfortable in. you don't wan to feel ill at ease because you're wearing something you don't normally... unless that gives you a sense of challenge. me, it juices me up to dress up. i feel more empowered.

tee shirt, i say, if it's a solid color, and dark, you'd be fine.

i've dated a lot online, and if this is your first meeting, in real life, don't stress. most of the time if you walk away from that first meeting with a positive impression, that's enough. she WILL remember what you wore though. the girl i dated from match, or whatever site, like 4 months into dating, asked me to wear what i wore on our first meeting again, being specific down to what belt i had on.

also, from online experience, again, if this is your first meeting, it's not really a "date" more as a "check the person out"... if so, i'd skip the flowers... there is such a thing as coming on too strong. and online dating is/can be a lot scarier for girls than guys. something to consider, especially if she's taken a while to convince to go out.

dude, just relax and have fun. be yourself. be one with the xfire! hah.

i'm 28, btw, for age reference.

Everyone is getting dates with their Crossfires around here eh? Watch out for the old "What are you compensating for..." Bit. Hahaha, my date tried to be slick with that, but I showed her...Then she took what she said back.

Well wouldn't you know it, i'm at the florist and paying for her flowers, $22 bucks worth (with a beanie baby on the side) and she calls me. She didn't say who she was, she just asked "whatcha doin?" so i said "who's this?" so she figured I was being mean and said "oooOOOoo" She then tried to get me to meet her in Raleigh, and it was whatever was easiest for me. I said it'd be easier to meet at her house, since i have it plugged into the gps already. When the real reason is that she can put the flowers in the house and then we can go on our date. Hopefully she doesn't think the flowers are because I sounded "mean" on the phone.

Way to mess up my flow woman.

Well number 1) i hope she calls me back at this point, else I'll be driving to my mom to give her some flowers.

and number 2) she better not think the flowers were planned after the phone call.
