Another Grille Option - Maybe
Another Grille Option - Maybe
Ok. Like many of you, I'm getting frustrated with the lack of aftermarket products for our cars.
Today, I contacted Grillcraft (among a couple of other grille manufacturers) to inquire about building one for the Crossfire. I explained that there isn't a whole lot out there for our cars and we would like to see more choices available.
This is the response I received:
If you could find someone with a crossfire to come by our shop in order for us to take a close look would be the first step.

Their contact information:

So ... does anyone live/work near there? If so, would you mind dropping by or emailing them to set something up? It's a little far from MI.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Another Grille Option - Maybe
Thought something like this 300 grill would be a nice choice to have:

Here's my custom grill, I'm doing the internal headlight areas next. Just like the new corvette.

Re: Another Grille Option - Maybe
brhertel and others with black Crossfires,
I posted a file called "new look for less" file sometime back. It took about 1 hour and $15 to get the new look.
The grey grill is now black, the silver bars are now chrome and the grey license plate bracket is now black (mounted when I bought it). You might also notice the Crossfire logo replacing the Chrysler badge thanks to Andrew.
Looks even better in person. What I like most is that I get a lot of comments on how it looks like it came that way from the factory. The black grill sort of fades out and the chrome strips look like they are "floating" in the grill cavity.

You did a great job on the grill painted white. I left the texture on mine because I really like the pebble grain finish (yeah, right LOL) Kudos to you for taking the extra time.

Also, regarding the infamous mesh grill from the 2004 SEMA show, seen here:

I've been in contact with the company that made it (Ground Force, a suspension company). As we knew, it was a one off creation.
They have no interest in creating more or selling the one they had/have.
