This what the Tech Said should work, as far as re-programming the ECU. I have an appointment Monday @ 0830. I will let you all know how it goes.

The alarm works fine and is very loud but there's no "EDW" selection on the main menu so the tech can't get in and change the country code to The Netherlands. On the main menu there's an "alarm system" selection but it does allow the "variant coding" needed in the above instructions. I have a '05 SRT-6, Thanks.

My alarm had worked in the past, and never beeped or chirped when armed or disarmed. I get my car back today and I now have 3 very soft beeps when armed and 1 soft beep when disarmed. Very Cool...I cannot give the tech's name that worked on my car because I do not know it, but someone at Huffines Chrysler 972-867-6000 knows how to make it work. I do see on my service order that the alarm siren 1028006, FP number 5124443-AA was replaced. I do not know if those numbers will help, but I can confirm that my factory alarm now beeps/chirps when armed and disarmed.
Good Luck All with getting yours to work too!!!

If you buy and install the newer siren let me know if you get the chirps. I was going to pull of my cowl but after looking at the service manual last night I decided to wait until the weekend since its fairly involved. If the new siren works I'll just take it off when I do the swap. I just called my local dealership and the price on the new siren is $76. FYI.

Re: Factory Alarm
My dealer will also have to order one. I have a few other things I'm working on right now so it might be a couple of weeks or so for me to try the experiment. I will however report back on this thread as soon as I do the swap. If anyone else get to that before me please report your findings.

Re: Factory Alarm
Took my XF into the Dealership in Montgomery, AL Gave him the parts Number,5124443AA, on this thread about the chripping siren, when locking the vehicle with the remote. They stated that, this is the number of the siren alarm that is on my vehicle. And that they couldn't replace it with a another siren that wasn't the original, under the warranty. Could have the numbers been turned around on the thread before this with the numbers--5114340AA {nonchripping}and 5124443AA {chripping sound}?

Re: Factory Alarm
I've spoke with two different mechanics at a couple of dealerships and one of them definitely didn't like the XFire. Some of it may be resentment that it not a real "MOPAR" vehicle. These guy love the HEMIs (American muscle cars, ect). and don't like the import status of our cars.
Re: Factory Alarm
I've made an appointment with my dealer and will pose it as a challenge to make the alarm work as it should.
The Panic button doesn't work and the wife insists that it does.
The alarm works (open door or glove box when armed: Siren).
Arm or Disarm: Nothing.
The Manual states:
"The antitheft alarm is armed within approximately 10
I don't know about your guys, but I don't want to wait 10 seconds waiting to see if a 1/16" diameter LED blinks. This is crap. My dealer is in Auburn Alabama and I've run into some VERY lazy folks down here. But I'll say one thing, the Service Manager thinks, as I do, that the xfire is one of the prettiest things on the road.
I'll post anything I learn.
Thanks for keeping this string going.
