Weather !!!
Alright Team Crossfire, I have been seeing nothing but bad news on the weather channel. Is it really that bad out there or are the news folks exaggerating ??? Here in Southern California it has been a bit cooler than normal (Global Warming) and a little rain but not too bad. I'm wondering about the folks in the East and Midwest. Even the Northwest, how are you all surviving?
Re: Weather !!!
mid 50's yesterday with heavy rain ... all of the snow is gone... i see nothing but grass!!!
the crossfire is spotless in the garage after an extreme underside, wheel well, rim, engine, etc washing.
45 w/ high winds today... roads are dry... i'll have her out tomorrow... it a 330 day today.

Re: Weather !!!
Here in Toronto its been ugly! Lots of blowing snow made for total white out conditions, then last night it turned to freezing rain, then rain. The forecast calls for another front of wet snow coming. The police are telling everyone to stay home unless they have to travel. As a side note, I should mention that I have to drive my Xfire all year since it's my only car. I experimented with removing my Contis and replacing them with 18" blizzaks all around. I can report, for those who may be considering driving their Xfire in the winter, that it works well. With a big bag of sand in the trunk, traction and handling on snow and ice is good. As someone once said, it drives like a little tank.
Re: Weather !!!
Tornadoes have ripped through Columbus Ga, my hometown. I'm about 90 miles north of Enterprise AL where the 18 deaths happened at the school. I'm 50 miles from Americus Ga where 8 are known dead. No one dead in Columbus Ga where a tornado ripped thru last night at 6:30. Several homes are completely destroyed, I rode thru the hardest hit neighborhood this morning. Most of our traffic lights are out and it is total chaos. Looking at the row of houses that were totally destroyed I'm surprised no one died. The path was abut 1/8 mile wide and it covered about 3 mile across the city. Trees are on houses all across this path and most roadway are not passable in his area. no deaths here, so no national news. But a massive amount of destruction here in Columbus, GA.

Charleston SC ~ rain/wind very early this AM ~ at day break ~ warm and by noon sunny. Heart goes out to those folks in Alabama/Georgia ~ terrible ~ and then the bus with college students ~ prayers to all those parents ~ as well for our men and women in uniform and their loved ones!

Here are some pics from here in Columbus, GA. My house is about 5 miles from there and I don't even have a twig down in my yard.

Re: Weather !!!
The Governor of GA has visited Columbus and declared a state of emergency. The president is also coming here and Sumpter county Ga. The damage is far more widespread than we all knew yesterday. We have aerial views today in the paper. The path is now known to have been 6 miles wide.
Re: Weather !!!
Due to the fact that most people are responding to, well any other thread, I've decided their is not much heart and soul here. You guys just worry about the snow that is falling, no news there, I'm out of here. You guys make us southerners sick. Goodbye. This is my last post here.
